Mike Neilson has one of the most interesting jobs in the museum. Tucked away in a small workshop in our conservation studios, Mike spends his days meticulously recreating objects from the collection, from intricate gold jewellery to huge stone monuments. With over three decades of experience, he files, cuts, polishes, molds, casts, paints, and solders his days away, creating valuable replicas that are crucial for the museum's work.
