My Preschool Daily Schedule | Keep Kids Learning, Busy & Happy All Day

Journey of loving children

Are you wondering how to create a preschool daily schedule that keeps children engaged, learning, and having fun all day? In this video, I'm sharing my preschool schedule, the thinking behind every part of my day, and why I believe intentional planning is one of the biggest keys to a successful classroom.

This year is a big change for me! After years of teaching two half-day preschool classes, I'm transitioning to one full-day Pre-K classroom. I'll be sharing my schedule, what I intentionally include (and leave out), and how I plan to refine it throughout the school year.

One of my biggest classroom goals is to eliminate **dead time**. When children are engaged, actively learning, and know what comes next, classrooms run more smoothly and behavior problems are often reduced. Every part of my schedule has a purpose—from arrival and centers to circle time, small groups, outdoor play, meals, rest time, and dismissal.

In this video you'll learn:

How I structure my preschool and Pre-K day
Why every part of my schedule has a purpose
How to reduce behavior problems by eliminating dead time
Tips for creating smooth transitions
How I keep children busy, safe, learning, and having fun
What I'm changing as I move from a half-day to a full-day classroom

Whether you teach preschool, Pre-K, TK, or kindergarten, I hope this video gives you ideas you can adapt to fit your own classroom.
