Episode 42: Black Bush Duo

#wine #winetasting #drink #cocktail
For as long as I can remember in the Irish whiskey scene, Bushmills Black Bush was seen as a 'blend deluxe'! A high malt content with a relatively high age plus being predominantly sherry cask mature, Black Bush was a cut above it's competitors.
However, in recent years I've personally felt it's profile has waned. Potentially due to production techniques, maybe poor cask management? But has my viewpoint changed with a recent Black Bush acquisition?

Video Summary
AI GeneratedPhil Crawford of Causeway Whiskey reviews and compares two versions of Bushmills Black Bush: the standard expression and the Travel Retail exclusive PX Sherry Cask Reserve. While the PX version offers better balance and higher ABV, Crawford notes a general decline in the quality of the Black Bush line compared to previous years.
