Polk County k9 recovering after shooting

Canine Ace, a 7-year-old K9 with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, is in critical condition after being shot during a shootout with a wanted suspect. Ace is credited with saving the lives of three deputies. While he faces the loss of a leg and mandatory retirement, he is receiving specialized veterinary care.
