It stands on the south bank of Yanhu Lake in YunchengShanxi Province, backed by the majestic Zhongtiao Mountains, gazing towards Guan Yu's hometown. From the air, the enormous bronze statue stands majestically amidst the mountains. The statue is 80 meters tall overall, with the main body reaching 61 meters, equivalent to a 20-story building. This is Changping Village in Yuncheng, Shanxi Province, the birthplace of Guan Yu, the famous general of the Three Kingdoms period. To cast this awe-inspiring statue, 500 tons of bronze, 2,000 tons of steel, and over 18,000 tons of concrete were used. After years of construction, it has become an important landmark of Guan Yu culture worldwide. From afar, one can see Guan Yu clad in armor, his left hand gently stroking his beard, his right hand gripping his Green Dragon Crescent Blade, his phoenix eyes and silkworm eyebrows exuding majesty and solemnity.
