Sask. Polytech research team helps remote First Nations create mapping systems

Saskatchewan Polytechnic's Geospatial Applied Research Group has partnered with the Montreal Lake Cree Nation to develop updated digital land maps. Using drones and satellite imagery, the project aims to replace outdated mapping data to improve emergency response, community planning, and land management in the face of new infrastructure and environmental changes.
