Full 2-Day Action Highlights form the Vintage Sports Car Club's (VSCC) Vintage Prescott event where the very best vintage sports and racing cars in the country compete on the beautiful Prescott hillclimb's short course.

Having very recently completed a major restoration, John Parry-Thomas' 'Flatiron' Thomas Special 2 1926 Grand Prix car made it's first public appearance in over 90 years. I as lucky enough to see the car's restorer Geraint Owen run Parry-Thomas' land sped record car BABS at Pendine Sands in April. What a different machine this amazing special is! Decades ahead of it's time it's an amazing piece of design with such potential that would never be realised after Parry Thomas' death in 1927 at the wheel of BABS. I didn't get to film the car running on the hill after it developed an engine problem but I had to include footage of it around the paddock since it's such a fascinating car.

There were plenty of cars that did take to hill however, over 250 in all! There is just a small selection of the more committed drives in this video, with most of the bizarre hillclimb specials such as 'Spider' and 'Jappic' included alongside the very quick and well driven ERA's, Bugatti's and the Fraiser-Nash setting the fastest times of the weekend.
