Restoring a Stuck OTF Knife (Will It Work?)

In this video, I restore an old OTF automatic knife with a completely stuck mechanism.
These knives are quite rare and are restricted in many countries due to their design.
The mechanism was heavily rusted and completely jammed. I decided not only to restore it, but also to understand how it works and bring it back to life.
When I disassembled the knife, it became clear that it was not factory-made.
It was likely handmade — possibly even made in a prison workshop.
I believe this knife dates back to the 1960s–1970s.
The blade was surprisingly well preserved, which made the restoration possible.
I also improved the handle construction to make it more durable and reliable.
Now the knife works perfectly again.
What do you think about this piece?
And are knives like this allowed in your country?
