This House Feels Like a Hidden Village in the Brazilian Countryside

Hidden within the vast countryside of São Paulo, Brazil, Village House by Studio MK27 reimagines rural living as a contemporary private village.
Instead of creating a single large house, the architects divided the residence into eight independent stone-clad volumes gathered beneath one expansive roof. Connected by courtyards, covered terraces, pathways, and intimate outdoor spaces, the home creates the feeling of wandering through a small village immersed in nature.
Thick stone walls, warm timber interiors, landscaped roofs, and carefully framed views create a seamless dialogue between architecture and the surrounding landscape. Every space offers a different atmosphere, from intimate bedrooms and quiet libraries to generous social areas designed for gathering and relaxation.
The result is more than a rural residence. It is a place where architecture, landscape, and everyday life become one continuous experience.
