New law proposed by Illinois state rep. intern reforms sexual assault reporting

Stephanie Bolanos, a 20-year-old intern for State Representative Daniel Didich, successfully proposed a new Illinois law designed to make it easier for sexual assault survivors to report crimes. By integrating psychology and political science, the law aims to reduce re-traumatization and encourage more survivors to follow through with law enforcement interviews to ensure perpetrators are held accountable.
