How to Spend 2 Days in Hakone: Our Itinerary

Hakone is THE classic side trip from Tokyo. In about 80 minutes you've got hot springs, traditional inns, mountain scenery, and Mount Fuji views if the weather plays along.

Many people visit for just a day, but to really make the most of it, we're showing you our suggested overnight itinerary: starting with a scenic ride on the Odakyu Romancecar from Shinjuku, all covered by a single digital pass. Up to four passes can now be managed on a single smartphone, making it even easier for families.
