Defending the Dunes: Flagler County aims to restore the shoreline

Flagler County is launching a $34 million project to rebuild and strengthen 5.5 miles of coastal dunes from Seven Street north to Varn Park. This initiative aims to protect homeowners, businesses, and Highway A1A from storm surges and wave damage, especially as the region recovers from previous storms like Ian, Nicole, and Michael.
