St. Paul begins homeless encampment clearings

The city of Saint Paul is proceeding with the clearing of homeless encampments, beginning with Pigs Eye Park. Despite urgent requests from faith leaders, community advocates, and state representatives for a 60-day pause to increase shelter capacity and provide essential IDs and phones to residents, the mayor has refused to grant an extension.
