A steel ladder embedded in a cliff face hundreds of meters high was discovered deep in the mountains of Shanxi.

Can you believe it? Deep in the Taihang Mountains of Shanxi Province, on a cliff face, there exists a precipitous ladder leading to the summit. It's not built halfway up the mountain, but rather clings rigidly to a near-vertical rock face. From the air, this slender steel ladder resembles a "sky road" suspended in the mountains, with sheer cliffs rising on either side and a deep, unfathomable canyon below. The entire ladder has approximately 760 steps, with a vertical drop of over 100 meters, and the steepest sections approaching a 90-degree angle. Walking on it, with a cold rock wall on one side and a bottomless canyon on the other, every step upward evokes a sense of awe and wonder at the power of nature. Who built this treacherous road, and why was such a passage carved out of this precipice? Today, follow our camera to explore this cliffside ladder hidden deep in the mountains of Shanxi.
