Mosquitoes in Wauwatosa test positive for West Nile Virus

Mosquitoes are increasing in activity due to warm, wet weather, with the West Nile virus recently detected in Wauwatosa and four other Wisconsin counties. While no human cases have been reported yet this year, experts warn that August and September are peak months for transmission as mosquitoes feed on infected birds.
