13-year-old shot by teen at Wheaton Mall in Maryland

Captain David Smith of the Montgomery County Police Department reports that a 17-year-old suspect was arrested after shooting a 13-year-old boy in the leg at Wheaton Mall. The victim is in stable condition. The suspect was detained by an armed security officer near Dick's Sporting Goods. Police are currently investigating the motive and reviewing evidence to determine the cause.
