Right before the early August primary of the 2026 midterm election, Asian Community Service Center in Northern Virginia hosted its “VA Candidates Meet-and-Greet” on July 26, 2026. Thanks to all the support from different Asian communities, we welcomed a full house of community members and candidates, enjoyed delicious Asian fare, watched excerpts from two inspiring films, and had great interactions with the candidates. The two films selected are very relevant to the featured topic of this meet-and-greet event: “Countering Chinese communist party (CCP)’s Malign Influence in America”. The first film we saw excerpts from is “China’s Stealth Invasion of America”; the second is “Unbroken: Untold Story of Shen Yun”.

Investigative documentary hosted by David Zhang examining how the CCP allegedly uses influence, technology, infrastructure, media, and economic leverage to weaken the United States from within.



UNBROKEN: The Untold Story of Shen Yun follows the world-renowned classical Chinese dance company Shen Yun Performing Arts as it rises to global acclaim while facing intimidation and threats of violence. Through the eyes of two brothers and their fellow performers, the film traces an unlikely journey—from ordinary American childhoods to the world’s most prestigious stages—where rigorous artistic training and spiritual conviction shape both their craft and their character.

As Shen Yun tours internationally, the company becomes the target of escalating smear campaigns, threats, and alleged interference linked to the Chinese Communist Party. Blending personal storytelling with investigative reporting, UNBROKEN reveals what happens when art, faith, and freedom collide with totalitarianism power—and how resilience, community, and cultural revival endure in the face of intimidation.
