Cheetah Mother Eats Her Own Cub

Days before this cheetah was seen eating her own cub, both cubs were still drinking beside her and seemed to be doing well.

Then one of them started limping badly and kept collapsing. By the next morning, the cub was no longer alive, and the mother was feeding on its body while the surviving cub stayed close by.

The consensus is that the cub may have been bitten by a snake, but this cannot be confirmed.
