This portrait has not seen the light of life for almost 100 years 😮 asmr!

Today, I'd like to share the complete restoration of "Portrait of a Boy" by an unknown artist from the late 19th century. A comprehensive restoration process was completed, and the painting is now ready for display.

The painting was removed from the stretcher, holes repaired, canvas deformations corrected, the painting was reinforced and stabilized, the edges reinforced, the stretcher repaired, the painting stretched on the original stretcher, restoration primer applied to the missing parts, dirt and old, darkened varnish with overpaintings (renovations not made by the artist) were removed, the missing parts were toned, and the painting was coated with a new protective layer of varnish.
