Know that you have all that you need within to be your own healer and the practice of meditation is a powerful tool for healing.
All too often we look outside of ourselves for the answers to life's challenges. When it comes to healing the body, we are quick to forget that our bodies already have their own innate ability to heal. We cannot outsmart our body's inner wisdom. Though doctors and alternative healers have a place in your journey, they only help us set up the environment to heal. It is up to us to do the work.
For today's practice, let's tip the scale in our favor. Let's find a balance so our cells can relax and do what they have always known how to do.

Hello and welcome. I'm Sarah Raymond with The Mindful Movement.
Thanks for joining me today on this guided meditation for self-healing.
All too often we look outside of ourselves for the answer to life's challenges.
When it comes to healing the body, we are quick to forget that our bodies already have
their own innate ability to heal. We cannot outsmart our body's inner wisdom.
Though doctors and alternative healers have a place in our journey,
they only help us set up the environment to heal. It is up to us to do the work.
Bringing awareness to our role in this process is paramount as our cells are always listening
to the thoughts in our mind. And we now know that negative thoughts create negative physical
manifestations. We must commit to the remembering, to remember to trust the body's ability,
to nurture it, to listen to it, and to practice the self-care it needs to find its state of balance.
Many states of disease are due to an imbalance of some sort. Too much sugar, not enough nutrients,
too much stress, not enough rest, too much resentment, not enough peace.
For today's practice, let's tip the scale in our favor. Let's find balance so our cells can relax
and do what they have always known to do. Allow yourself to find a comfortable position,
preferably with your spine straight and your arms and legs in a relaxed position.
Now let your attention move to your breath. Notice the sensations of your breath as it
enters your nose. With your eyes closed, sense your breath as a felt experience.
How does it feel to your body as this breath enters? And how does it feel as it exits the body?
Notice this holy breath as it carries the energy of the universe
through this holy body. Now allow yourself to relax with your breath.
As each exhale leaves the body, let your limbs get heavy. Let go of holding
at the shoulders and the jaw. Allow your forehead to smooth over
and begin to give in to the weight of gravity. As your body softens,
your mind can begin to rest and allow for healing to take place. Begin to observe the path
of your breath. As the witness, follow its journey through your lungs,
carrying with it the fuel to bring life into this present moment.
Every breath brings in the oxygen needed for all of your body's miraculous functions.
Every cell welcomes this breath as its life force,
permeating through every tissue and organ in the body. Scan your body for what feels good to you
right now. Notice these areas that feel good to you as openings that your body is signaling to you.
Allow your awareness to travel through the openings of well-being,
allowing expansion of these openings. Continue to ask yourself what feels good.
These areas that feel good, they're openings like windows of well-being.
Where do the windows lie for you? Use your breath and go through the windows.
Expand the windows of the body through the mind's eye. Now that you are relaxed and open,
invite healing into your body. Let the cells in your body know your intentions.
Create space for your body's inner wisdom to do its work. This doesn't require effort on your part.
There is no active work to be done here, just a restful opening, like a blossoming flower
opening to something new. You need only to allow space for your cells to listen to each other,
to coordinate and cooperate with each other. This process creates a sensation,
a sense of knowing that things are okay, a sense of coming home. This sense of belonging
is always here, always a part of you. Yet sometimes we might forget this truth from within.
The more we practice, the more room this truth has to grow from within.
As this truth of well-being grows from within, it can rise to the surface
and be manifested in our physical body. As you practice in this present moment,
this is happening. Every cell in your body is listening. They are aligning with each other
and with your thoughts. Allow a smile to wash over you, acknowledging the work being done
and the gratitude you hold for your ability to practice, for your ability to heal yourself.
Continue to relax into the knowing, the knowing of your truth as a healer,
the knowing that you are your own best healer. You are the medicine man.
You can create this healing whenever you relax into the knowing of your truth.
Make a commitment today to remember this truth of who you are and what you are capable of.
Bring your awareness back to your breath now. No need to change it yet. Just be here
as the witness. Notice any changes in how you feel. Maybe a feeling of lightness,
as if a burden has been lifted. Perhaps there is more space in your mind, more space in your body,
a weightlessness to your limbs, a warm comfort flowing through you.
Now, slowly begin to deepen your breath as your attention rises to the surface,
feeling your life force building once more, a clarity through your mind's eye.
You have practiced remembering your ability to heal today. You have moved towards your truth
as your own best healer. You have altered your course for good. Embrace the shift you have
created as you open your eyes and see everything a little bit differently,
as if there has been a shift, an awakening to the divine self that you are.
Thank you for practicing with me today. I hope you have a wonderful day.
