FOX 2 Democratic Senate debate, what to expect

Tomorrow night, it's being called a battle for the soul of the Democratic Party, Haley Stevens and Abdul El-Sayed, debating right here on Fox 2. So we asked a local political science professor what he'll be looking to hear from the candidates. What is the dynamic between these two? It's gotten, as you mentioned, pretty tense on the campaign trail. Is that tension carry over into the debate on Monday night? What issues bubble up that we haven't heard so much about yet? Or do we just go back to the same familiar refrain from both candidates? I think from a strategic point, I think it would behoove them to try to talk about some things that they maybe haven't yet. Because as we mentioned, the contrast is so stark. Which often doesn't happen in primaries. This is the national story about which way is the Democratic Party going to go playing out in our backyard.
