Most people learn Chinese by memorizing vocabulary, grammar rules, and characters one by one. But that wasn't always the traditional approach.

In this video, Mr He introduces a different way of learning Chinese—one rooted in the traditional educational system, where language, culture, history, and ways of thinking were learned together rather than as separate subjects.

Instead of treating Chinese characters as symbols to memorize, this approach reveals the pictures, stories, relationships, and cultural ideas embedded within the language. Learning Chinese becomes a process of understanding rather than memorization.
