7 Indie Patterns I’m Sewing in 2026 (And Why I Chose Them)
Hey friends
It is time to try something new! For 2026, I am challenging myself to step away from my "go-to" brands and dive into seven different independent sewing pattern companies. From companies I’ve only dabbled with to brands that are completely new to my sewing room, I’m exploring a variety of silhouettes, including barrel-leg pants, western-inspired blouses, and even my very first bomber jacket.
In this video, I talk through my plans for each pattern, the fabrics I’ve pulled from my stash, and why I believe independent designers are offering some of the best "chef’s kiss" instructions in the industry right now. Whether you are a fan of Helen’s Closet, Pattern Emporium, or Spaghetti Western Sewing, there is plenty of inspiration for your 2026 sewing queue.
