Colin, where is Colin?
Mr Firth, just straight ahead please, sir.
Colin!
Colin, please!
Get in here, please!
I mean, it's a really extraordinary thing.
It's weird, it's quite strange,
but all of the people that are nominated are of such an amazing calibre.
By working.
I mean, I don't have much time to sort of go crazy with it tonight.
I've got to get back in the car and go down to do Richard III tomorrow,
so I've just come off the plane from promoting an invitation game in LA
for literally a day.
So, being busy, I think, is part of the way to keep grounded
and, I don't know, I surround myself with pretty normal people
at the best of times.
My family and friends, so yeah.
No big secret there, really.
It's what most people do, I guess.
It means a lot.
It's my first one that I've ever been to.
It's the big one that we have
and, you know, I'm amongst a really extraordinary group of fellow actors.
I wish David Oyelowo was amongst them, as he deserves to be.
It's the one sort of bitter note of the evening.
But, yeah, it means a hell of a lot.
It's great for the film, which is great for Alan Turing,
which is incredibly important for all those involved in the film
that it's getting recognised tonight.
I know the Turing family are very much rooting for us all tonight
and that means a great deal.
First of all, it's utterly incredible.
It's really unbelievable.
I can't remember.
I've lied so much, suppressed so much stuff.
I apologise now for all my lying.
It was a no-brainer.
It was about working it out.
I think so, once I met with Scott
and realised what the full vision, and Kevin,
what the full vision for the character was,
I was completely hooked in.
Marvel do a good thing.
They mix up the live-action stuff with some extraordinary stuff
that makes me comfortable watching myself
because so much is added in post-production
that it becomes something other than what you originally did.
It's easy to not worry about your work and be self-critical,
which I always am, and just lose yourself
in what they've created around you, which is just magical.
