The Rosenlaui Valley (or Rosenlauital) is a stunning, lesser-known alpine gem in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. Famous for its dramatic limestone cliffs, rushing rivers, and the towering Wellhorn peak, it offers a tranquil contrast to the heavily commercialized neighboring Grindelwald.

This is the valley's main attraction. It features a 573-meter path of illuminated tunnels and over 200 steps that let you walk right next to plunging glacial waterfalls.

The bridge at Gschwandenmad offers a postcard-perfect view of the crystal-clear Reichenbach river flowing straight toward the jagged Wellhorn peak.

A historic, Belle Époque-style hotel built in the 18th century, offering a peaceful, old-world mountain retreat.

The valley road is extremely narrow and mostly restricted or tolled for private cars. The best way to travel is by taking a train to Meiringen, then catching the PostBus directly into the valley.
