Late June Garden Tour | Blooms, Foliage & Fresh Growth

Take a stroll with me through my late-June garden in central Iowa (Zone 5b) to see what’s coming to life! In this end-of-month garden tour, I’ll share the blooms, foliage colors, and textures that are making the garden shine, along with bulbs and seed-grown plants just starting to make their appearance.

Smooth hydrangeas are putting on a gorgeous display, while the panicle hydrangeas are budding up for a July show. I’m a true foliage enthusiast, and I love experimenting with different shades, shapes, and textures throughout my many garden beds. As trees grow, new shade patterns form, and my tastes evolve, I’m constantly reworking my beds to create a living, ever-changing masterpiece.
