FULL TOUR: 2026 PEONY TOUR // PEONIES AS CUT FLOWERS // Backyard Flower Farm
FULL PEONY TOUR: Exploring the Backyard Flower Farm! 🌸
Welcome back to the garden! Today we are taking a slow, deep breath and walking through the full peony collection here on the flower farm. There is nothing quite like peony season—it’s fleeting, fragrant, and absolutely worth the wait.
In this tour, we’re visiting everything from the early bloomers to the mid-season classics. I’m sharing names and varieties for those of you building your own garden wishlists, and we’ll talk a bit about how these perform as cut flowers for bouquets.
We’ve had some surprises this year with first-year blooms, and of course, a few "old favorites" like Sarah Bernhardt and Red Charm that never fail to put on a show. Whether you're here for the inspiration or the garden tips, I hope this tour brings a bit of peace to your day.
In this video, we’ll see:
The Classics: Sarah Bernhardt, Duchesse de Nemours, and more.
Early Stars: Checking in on the Coral varieties.
The "Roadside" Peonies: An update on the blooms you've been asking about!
Cut Flower Tips: Which varieties hold up best in a vase.
I’ve noticed in the comments that many of you are just starting your peony journey or adding tree peonies and Itohs to your landscape—let me know which variety was your favorite from today's tour!

Thanks for visiting the "Tonya, with the flowers." organic gardening channel. In the garden, I will answer some of the most common "gardening for beginners" type questions I get, including growing flowers from seed. Growing greens, growing flowers, and planting beautiful organic food is something I'm really passionate about. Thank you for joining me as I learn to grow flowers, cut flowers, vegetables, and much more. 'Tonya, with the flowers.' YouTube channel and related media are for entertainment purposes only.
Many ornamental flowers and cut flowers are TOXIC. ALWAYS do your own research and take responsibility for the plants that you introduce around your kids, pets, and everyone else. Use common sense when handling plant materials: wear gloves, always wash hands, avoid contact with face, etc. NEVER consume any plant which has not been positively identified with complete certainty to be safe and edible. Before planting anything, research to determine whether specific flowers are considered invasive where you live or if there are laws that apply to their planting in your area.
