I just want to address something at the beginning of this video,
something I said in a vlog a little while back when we were in Boracay,
I was stood on the balcony and I said something along the lines of document
your life. Please grab your camera, grab your phone, whatever you've got,
make memories, document things, normal, everyday things, vacations,
the big moments, the small moments, whatever it is.
And so many people resonated with that. I've got so many comments.
I've got some messages on Instagram. So I just wanted to say it again.
I wanted to bring that into today's vlog and I've got something in today's
video that I'm going to be showing you later on. This is this in my hand,
which kind of takes that whole idea and concept to the next level.
And I know a lot of you are interested in some of the gear we use.
And that is why I'm very excited today to be using this.
And a huge thank you to DJI for sponsoring today's video and letting us have a
go with the brand new DJI Osmo 360 camera. Yeah. I said, use your phone,
use whatever camera you've got, but often that's limited. I mean,
look at the frame on this camera.
Your phone screen is kind of that kind of size as well.
This captures everything in front of you to the side behind you in such a wide
angle view. And you can just walk along with it.
And it is capturing everything for you.
You don't have to worry about getting the right angle, the right shot. Anyway,
this thing is epic. And I'll be showing you more of it in today's video.
My mum, she was like, I'd like to come out to the Philippines.
Could be even sooner as in like August this year.
Just so happy to be here looking up.
Good
morning guys. Welcome to another vlog.
You join us at breakfast trying to strap Remy into this chair.
There we go. Rems, bib on, all the essentials.
I remember the days where I would just come for breakfast,
choose what I wanted and eat.
But now there are a set of things we must do before.
In the perfect order. Koda's breakfast first. So he's happy.
Then we get Remy in the high chair. We get him strapped in. We get the bib on.
Then Lucy goes and gets some food for Remy. As you can see,
he's got his yogurt. He's got his fruit. He's got some fish.
He's got some green beans.
Starting the day in a very nice healthy way here in BGC
at the hotel buffet. It is, it's a busy one, but we've got a nice table here.
No, I'm good for coffee.
Just had our first coffee today in the room and we are ready nearly for a new
day in Manila in BGC.
Just so happy to be here looking up at those blue skies at those amazing
buildings.
I promise I'm not going to talk too much about the weather because I'm going to
sound like a broken record every single day, but it is hot today.
It is very, very hot today in BGC. Just standing in the shade here,
getting a little bit of shelter from the sun whilst Lucy grabs me a coffee from
Harlan and Holden. This actually, this new Harlan and Holden,
I think it's maybe a year or two it's been here,
but it just looks so cool in the middle.
That logo and this design is like box design with the trees and the buildings
and everything just looks, I don't know, it just looks so cool to me.
We just don't, as we always say, like comparing to the UK, we,
you can't see this in the UK.
So just trying to take it all in whilst we're here.
Going for an iced coffee today. It's needed.
I still drink hot coffee in this weather, but today it's got to be iced.
It just has to be. And we're off to, I don't know if Lucy said,
we're off to meet some friends we haven't seen for years, two years, at least.
We are so late, we need to run.
Oh, beautiful. Tastes so good. Cools me down. Delicious.
Fast forward to lunch. We had a great time catching up with our friends.
Koda was playing with his little buddy who we hadn't seen for so, so long.
She's changed so much. It's crazy how like you click your finger.
We feel like we've just seen them, but you click your fingers,
especially when kids are around, they just grow up so fast,
but so nice to catch up. Couldn't really film anything.
We're just chatting, catching up off camera.
And it was like a busy kids area, so we're not really going to grab the camera,
but we have skipped forward to lunch.
We are at La Taperia and I feel slightly underdressed because this is a very,
very lovely place. And yeah,
we wanted to try a few different spots in BGC that we haven't been to before.
Oh yeah. Koda's catching Pokemon.
We set Pokemon Go up on my phone and he's been obsessed with it,
going around BGC catching Pokemon.
So this spot where I'm sat right now used to be La Picara.
We used to come here all the time back in the day.
It was one of our favorite spots taken over by a different company now,
but still kind of a Spanish kind of feel. So there's tapas.
We've ordered some lunch. I've gone for a glass, a glass of white wine,
which I have to say it's going down nicely,
going down a treat. It's a Saturday here in BGC. It's the weekend.
We've got a nice view. We can do some people watching.
Everyone's out and about enjoying.
People are out dining and just feels really, really nice around here.
Just that, that good energy that I've been speaking about in the last couple of
vlogs, that really good feeling that we get here in BGC, our second home,
our old home, maybe our future home. I don't know.
Maybe like when the kids are all grown up one day,
Lucy and I will come back here and that will be it. I don't know.
Maybe we're going to enjoy some lunch.
Got to help Koda with Pokemon Go. One second. We'll catch some more Pokemon later.
This lamb is insanely good. There is so much flavor.
George is going to love it.
That's really good. It might be the best lamb I've ever had.
It's a big statement, but it's really good.
Okay. We are adding to the collection of amazing tripods.
I'm using an Evian bottle, this exact Evian bottle.
The camera is balancing like that on another bottle I have right in front of me.
Again, loads of tripods in the camera bag, back at the hotel.
Never bring them out for some reason. Always forget. The food was excellent.
The food was delicious.
Lucy and I said it's actually one of the best meals we've had on this whole trip.
Really, really good. The lamb, the suckling pig thing. Delicious.
Oh, the desserts are here. Thank you.
Thank you so much. Yeah, go ahead. Go ahead.
Thank you very much.
So we ordered a few different desserts to try.
Very nice. Thank you.
And your graham cracker.
Lovely. Thank you.
Thank you so much. Wow.
Thank you. Thanks a lot.
So these look so, so nice.
It's essentially a creme brulee thing.
And this is a chocolate bar, which may look small.
That's the end of that sentence.
It's just quite small.
But if it's delicious, if it's satisfying, then it doesn't matter.
It's not all about quantity.
It's not all about size. It's not all about size.
Going to tuck in here.
I've also gone for, balancing the camera back on the Evian bottle.
We're good. Also gone for a whiskey cocktail.
Haven't had whiskey in so long.
We used to. There's a bar over the road that's gone.
It's called Mason.
I think it's called Mason.
The Japanese place, restaurant and bar.
We used to always go and drink old fashions there.
We also used to drink old fashions in the Shangri-La bar in the lobby.
Really nice bar.
If you need like a chilled bar in BGC, obviously there's tons of bars.
But if you want something a bit more laid back and just nice
and a bit quieter out the way, Shangri-La, ground floor, public bar.
You can go in. Whiskey. Cheers. Let's try this.
Wow. So there's an ice cream in here with curry leaves.
And that is so interesting.
This tastes like an old fashioned, but with like a spice around it.
Oh, that's so interesting.
It's like a different take on a, it's probably a really famous cocktail.
And I'm just being very ignorant, but delicious. Very nice.
I've kind of realized using this camera that there's no real scenario
or situation where it doesn't work.
It's super versatile, whether you're a vlogger like us,
whether you want to use this as a full on action camera.
I saw a video where someone attached it to their mountain bike
and they were coming down this hill and it's super stable and wide
and just looked like it was a drone following them from the front.
It was amazing.
Whether you're doing the most extreme stuff or the everyday,
you can walk around the house with this, just capture daily life.
So for people who appreciates.
Oh, just dropped it. It's durable as well.
For people who appreciate some of the tech specs of these things.
It shoots in native 8K and has exceptional low light performance.
And if you've ever used DJI products before, like we have,
we've owned several DJI drones.
We've got the DJI mics.
It all works within that DJI ecosystem, which is just so user friendly,
so easy to use.
Anyone, even if you're not technically minded or particularly
into the specs of cameras and things, you can pick this thing up.
You can start recording, start making some awesome footage.
Or if you're someone who has got the Osmo, other Osmo action cameras.
Let me just pick it up.
Dust you off.
Then all the accessories and the mounts, they all are compatible.
And also the batteries.
You can actually get this, which is a battery holder and charger.
And as you can see there, you just flip that up
and we can store three batteries in there.
And if the selfie stick that it comes with out of the box isn't long enough,
I mean, it's pretty long, then you can get yourself one of these,
which is the 2.5 meter extended carbon fiber selfie stick.
Look at that. You can do photos.
What's cool is selfie mode.
So wherever I record now, wherever I hold that, that is going to lock onto me.
So there would be no further editing required in this mode.
And one of my favorite features is a cool thing.
It's called a vortex mode.
You get a separate attachment.
You swing the camera above your head.
If you're in a beautiful place that looks great all around,
it creates this super slow motion.
Say you've climbed a mountain, you're at the top and you want to see everything.
You can do vortex mode.
It's going to create this epic shot.
So what a cool thing.
There is going to be a link in the description to the DJI Osmo 360.
If you're someone who wants to start documenting your life,
whether you're posting it online or not, if it's just for yourself,
this can do everything.
We've just come into the shop and look at this.
It has Koda's name on these electrolyte things.
How funny is that?
So weird. I've never seen that, have you?
We've also found, get it, get it, get it, sorry.
Get it, get it, get it.
We found the world's bounciest balls here and they're like moon balls.
You barely, you just let go and it goes, oh that looks rubbish.
These ones are better.
Show me because I can't film and show.
Whoa, that's it guys.
You just lightly bounce.
Really, it's so satisfying.
Really nice lunch.
Enjoyed that big time.
And we ended up chatting to the guy on the table next to us
and he said he sort of recognised us, looked familiar from the vlogs and stuff.
Turns out he's got a wife who is very famous here.
She's got like 1.4 million followers on Instagram, Alice Dixon.
I'm sure a lot of you watching know who that is.
I had a nice chat with them and yeah.
She said next time we're in the country,
we should try and do something together in some sort of capacity
because she's got a YouTube channel as well.
So that could be interesting.
That could be fun.
You make a new friend, don't we?
We do.
Who are you talking about?
Alice.
Oh, yeah.
My new pal.
That was so cool.
Her husband was like, are you, he recognised us.
He must have seen some of our videos.
Elevator not working.
Are we actually stuck here then?
Right. It's not working, but there's not a web near us here.
Is there any, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And then he was like, are you guys YouTubers?
Because we're like, yeah.
He was like, because my wife's a YouTuber as well.
Yeah. Oh, cool.
He was like, yeah, 1.4 million on Instagram later.
Yeah, crazy.
But in other news, we have a bit of an update to share on the channel
because my mum, so obviously my dad and step mum came out to the Philippines
a couple of years ago.
And my mum has recently and her boyfriend,
my mum and Mama Gaga, as the kids call them.
She messaged me while we're out here and she was like,
I'd like to come out to the Philippines when you're next coming out,
which is like huge news for me because I've asked her to come out for a year.
She's always wanted to, but I've always like,
I don't know. It's a long way.
She's never traveled like out of Europe, I don't think.
So it'd be like quite a big deal for her.
And I actually couldn't believe it that she actually was like committing to it.
So I've got a question to throw at all of you.
She works in a school.
So we're quite limited on dates.
So it's either going to be like an Easter thing around this time of year,
next year, or it could be even sooner as in like August this year,
like really soon.
And we wanted to come back out anyway, so it would tie in really nicely with that.
But my question to you all is, is that kind of like
too deep into rainy season, things are already starting to change.
Sorry, lift confusion there.
That was the busiest lift I've been in in a while.
I'd love if any of you watching are in the Philippines or Asia
with similar weathers.
We've obviously been here a lot during rainy season in the past.
And because we've done a lot of travel and we've seen all the places and for us,
it's not like we're coming here as a once in a lifetime.
So it doesn't matter if flights are cancelled, we miss out and stuff.
If things happen because of the weather
and we don't get all like the sunny days and stuff,
it doesn't affect us as much because, yeah,
it doesn't affect us as much as it would if like my mum comes out.
It's going to be a once in a lifetime trip.
It's going to be like the only time I imagine that she would come out.
I think it's such a long flight.
Like for us, it's what we do when we don't mind it.
But it is such a long way away from England.
So I really want it to be special.
So part of me thinks kind of selfishly, just do it this year
because I'm really excited at the thought of it.
Or should we wait until next Easter?
So like however many months away that is.
I mean, it's still fairly soon.
It's not that far away, under a year away.
But it would be fun.
And then if we did Easter, it would be like two weeks maximum.
If we did it this summer, it could be a bit longer
because it's a six week summer holiday.
She wouldn't come for the full six weeks,
but she could do like three weeks maybe.
Or maybe Easter next year, we could push it to like just over two weeks.
But yeah, I'd love to know in the comments what you think.
I'm so excited at the thought of it.
And also help us plan the trip.
As always, like where do you think we should take them?
Do a little tour around a few different places.
Yeah. So I don't know.
I'm kind of split because part of me thinks let's do it.
But also they're going to want sunshine and good weather.
So maybe we should hold off.
But it would be really fun to do it even sooner because the thought of it,
I'm just, I can't believe that she'll just be here
like walking around with me like my mum.
Crazy.
You see Nate?
Do you see his eyes?
Mate, you see Nate?
You see Nate?
Wow.
Crazy.
Do you see his eyes?
A few hours later and another fresh buko later.
Delicious.
Can't get enough of these.
A nice fresh buko juice.
Oh, finished it.
We have come to the pool bar area in our hotel
for just like an hour before bed.
It's 6pm.
We need to get these boys to bed really.
But we just thought come down here.
We've got a nice, nice big sofa area.
Coda's chilling.
Remy's laughing his head off at mango shake.
He's really enjoying it.
And we're just having fun in that last part of the day for us as parents.
It's early night, although I'm going to go to the gym.
The gym is right over there behind the pool.
Very easy to get around this hotel.
It's just level 2.
Everything's here.
Which is easy for me to remember.
We stay in so many, well, the gym, the pool, the bar, everything.
Oh, they should do that, like a one level hotel.
It would just take up so much ground space.
But we stay in so many hotels.
One thing I never remember is our room number.
Because if you've been watching all of these vlogs,
you'll see us like going from hotel to hotel to hotel.
And obviously we have different...
Pardon?
You can remember every single room number?
No, you cannot.
Lucy just said she can remember every single room number.
That's a lie.
OK, first Burakai hotel.
See, she has no idea.
No, because it was level 2, but 3, 0, 2, 1.
I thought it was 3, 0, 1, 2.
Now you say it.
3, 0, 2, 1.
Don't think it was.
OK, the Cebu hotel.
No, it wasn't.
OK, Lucy thinks she knows.
I don't know if she's just spewing off random numbers to me.
I don't know.
But anyway, yeah, we stayed at so many.
Ask me another one.
We're not...
OK.
Where else have we been?
The Porta Princesa hotel.
2, 1, 2, 8.
That's wrong.
It's not.
It wasn't.
It was.
I was there.
2, 1, 2, 8.
You're along the right lines with all of them.
I don't think it's right.
Ask me another one.
OK, our Airbnb when we first got to Manila.
Did it have a room number?
Because it was like...
Yeah.
It was a condo unit.
It'll have a room...
It'll have a number.
Floor number 21.
No.
It wasn't.
It was like 30.
It wasn't 21.
39.
39, it was a high one.
17.
No, I thought it was 1, 2.
39, 1, 2.
I don't know.
Anyway, this is not interesting for you guys watching.
Ask me another one.
What was I saying?
No, I'm not asking another one.
That's it now.
Jeez.
Whenever I...
So the point of what I was saying about 20 minutes ago was that we stay in so many hotels
and have different room numbers constantly.
It's so awkward when we have to sign for these drinks in a minute and they'll ask for the
room number.
We charge it to the room.
And I just go blank.
Or I order my coffee in the morning and they come and just...
Actually, that shouldn't be difficult because I could just look at the door.
I never remember the room number.
I even had to get them here the other day to call down...
Give them my name.
They had to call down to the front desk.
They had to look up on their system my room number while there was people behind me waiting.
It was very embarrassing.
But anyway, we are going to end off this vlog here because all we are doing for the rest
of the day is getting the boys to bed, getting ourselves to bed.
As I said, I may go to the gym, but I don't know.
I'm pretty tired.
Bed is tempting as well.
An early night.
We have some other travel coming up, which requires us to be on good form.
Some more flights, things like that.
The actual travel...
I would say the worst thing about travel is the actual travel.
It's an absolute blessing we get to do this.
We get to travel with the boys and the family.
But the actual traveling is tiring.
It's exhausting.
Especially as we're getting into our twilight years.
Speaking of, I'm still not 30.
We were like early 20s when we started travel vlogging.
How crazy is that?
Yeah, Lucy's still not 30.
I've just turned 30 about three years ago.
Anyway, yeah.
Thanks for watching this.
From the four of us, we bid you farewell.
Thanks again.
Thanks again for watching.
We do genuinely, genuinely really appreciate it.
As much as we joke around at the end of the vlog, we can't do this without you guys watching.
So many people have been coming up to us as we've been walking through BGC asking for photos and stuff.
And then I get messages on Instagram saying,
I saw you.
People even take photos of us then send it to us on Instagram and say,
Good to see you.
And it's like, please come and say hi.
If you're like completely shy, then it's fine.
We're not gonna like don't.
But if you're worried how we'll react, we love it.
We really love meeting everyone who watches the vlogs.
It's just so nice for us because you watch us.
You see our faces.
You hear our voices.
We're like real people.
But to us, I'm talking to a Canon black camera and a massive microphone.
I'm talking to an object right now.
Even though it doesn't feel like that.
It genuinely feels like when I'm vlogging that I'm talking to everyone watching.
But the reality of it, if you strip it all back, is that I'm talking to a camera.
It's quite strange really.
But the point being, when we meet people in real life, they say they watch the vlogs.
It's like, okay, I'm talking to you.
And then when I vlog the next day, I kind of remember the people I've met the day before.
And I feel like I'm speaking to you.
So yeah, always come and say hi.
But anyway, rambling on again at the end of the vlog.
Delirious hour is approaching.
If you watch this far into the vlog, you are part of End of Vlog Club.
So make sure you comment End of Vlog Club, End of Vlog, whatever you want on the video.
We'll go through, give that heart, give it a reply.
You are part of an exclusive club because not everyone watches to the end.
So if you're here, a huge special thank you to you.
And just another quick reminder to go and check out the DJI Osmo 360.
What a piece of kit.
This is an incredible camera.
It does everything.
Whether you want to start documenting your family days out, your vacations, your adventures,
posting online, keeping for yourself, whatever it is, go and check this out.
This could be the camera for everyone.
It just does everything.
That wide field of view, the 360, all the features, the quality of the image, the size of it, how compact this thing is.
Go and check it out.
Thanks to DJI for sponsoring the video.
And we'll see you in the next one.
