The Pistons have a serious decision to make...

feet out defense when out to 10 we get up to elite once again 15 feet out of course someone that's going to guard every single position this is the most versatile defender in congrats you can block shots what we're seeing out of the Sarah Thompson is unheard of and one of the best defensive players we've seen of this generation getting him locked up to this contract is of course a major part moving forward and Langdon and co are of course going to get it done now the biggest thing is of course locking the Sarah Thompson up it's not going to be cheap of course speaking highly of them of the defense it's continued growth on offense defensive first team and finishing third he probably should have won it when it comes to deep boy but of course seven four three from France what can you do about it what we're going to see is this Pistons roster continuously get more expensive as time goes on and it feels like a situation that Langdon's slowly going to have to figure out how to manage this cap and a position where he's going to have to continuously make this team better and good enough to continue to compete now looking at the contracts that are currently locked up Kate Cunningham is probably getting underpaid for what he does for this team of course it's insane to say for 50 million dollars John Collins coming in on an incredible contract you still have Duncan Robinson Isaiah Joe with that team option as well but when working down and looking at next year in 2027-2028 Sarah Thompson looking at that extension would of course kick into that season and Jalen Dern who is still not signed to this organization and the biggest question of what is truly happening around the team and how they're going to make it work now looking at the numbers once again and a little better graph when looking deeply into it you have a lot of guys that are locked in on their signing trades a first round pick you brought in Abuka Okora that's going to be a cheap option to help out for quite some time you even have Ron Holland Kevin Herter all these guys are going to play crucial parts moving forward but of course the Pistons need to figure out how they're going to continue with the success continue adding bodies to this roster you already have a deep team Jenkins is looking at a contract following this season someone that just had a breakout year and looking poised to make the second jump I don't even want to talk about replacing them with Abuka Okora because of course I'd love both of the guys on the organization but now looking at this team one of if not the deepest teams in the NBA when it comes to talent I mean Kevin Herter was a starter for the Chicago Bulls and the Sacramento Kings coming in at the third guard behind Duncan Robinson and Isaiah Joe Gary Harris is sitting there Torian Prince another great addition shooting 41 percent from three last season with the Milwaukee Bucks of course a part of the big Pierce LaVert trade that was about six to seven teams and at the end of the day getting back two incredible pieces is exactly what Langdon did but now looking at that with the fact that we're looking at a world that Jalen Duren is looking at the 35 plus million dollar range and of course the skier that maybe he goes out and takes a qualifying offer pushing himself as unrestricted free agent going into next season then not only are you getting but you have the possibility to lose Jalen Duren for nothing of course that's the number one priority and before people really talk of course a star is still locked up this season so Jalen Duren it's a top priority getting your center back your all-star center back into this lineup and with the team is going to be something that Langdon needs to continuously do but again Jenkins an incredible season out of the young G League player to start the year last year getting this contract converted one way getting the extension putting up 10 2 and 4 and of course 37.4 from 3 but again with the staff it doesn't truly show what Jenkins really is made of I mean looking at the playoffs we've seen some big games from of course a very young player continuing to develop but looking at Jenkins and even diving into the advanced stats when you're looking at defense at the perimeter when looking at the distance efficiency elite from 20 to 24 feet out above average from 15 to 19 and of course sitting
