Türkiye 🇹🇷 vs. Canada 🇨🇦 - Quarter Final | Highlights | Women's VNL 2026

Canada in red serving Tukie in mostly white with a bit of red receiving for this quarterfinal ace serve Shaheen brought off the net Vargas can get a swing it's going to stay in play and now there's a swing chance great will that be costly because here comes Vargas oh it's a great well played by van Rijk she can't get a swing she's in the back row as well has to put the volley in and eventually Tukie have the point but they are having to do it the hard way multiple times in the last couple of rallies so the Canadian block and defense have it dialed in as to how they want to approach the Melissa Vargas problem under Beledim gets the timing right good hit there's over 200 attack points in this volleyball nation's league 226 coming into this very impressive doing extremely well word up it's oh yes all the talk has been about Vargas but van Rijk is in that conversation as good a player she can give her a free net the aggressive block choice from Tukie with in this place in the space where there is no defender at five four five good touch goodness me that you can have a swing this is why he was sent all the way over there from three and a half meters off the net on a high ball Melissa Vargas no problem timeout Canada the ball from grey right in the window for van Rijk that is hit properly hit Canada need to make against the position for attack from Tukie Tukie need to make some adjustments against van Rijk because she has been phenomenal it's kind of outside the block and serving for the set and it's into transition that's a really good opportunity but now Tukie make sure they make the side out Vargas a good block touch in transition that's what creates the opportunity for Vargas I think if that's set behind have been an absolute freebie of a swing that'll do it though grey puts it away Canada take the opening set 25 22 great start this for Canada Canada have definitely come in with a plan they've been able to execute it really well set two is underway Tukie with the serve Canada leading by one set to nothing in this all-important quarterfinal here Macau China for the volleyball nation's lead and that's a lovely start through the middle ball is not right next to the center there's just enough room and that shifted play good pass from just good cover shaheen the defense can't find the block not quite finding the right space this one cuts back across grey a bit off that one van she's gone seven from seven from seven that's a hit good dig well played balladeen chance for Canada who's got to get out further well played great because the block was kind of camping around the middle at home thinking this is going to be a first tempo play and it's a really nice choice to work the angle back from grey good ball from just good cover and again well played just oh good touch from Vargas is there an angle for it to come back yes there is rally still going not any longer grey will take the point Canada back to within three can it do it they need to side this out well there's a chance here for Tukie to wrap it up through balladeen just the recycle and Vargas with a mishit oh no it's come off the block is it it has well it looked like it'd gone out but it come off a defender i think on the way so Turkey have a point away we go set number three franson with the serve all square in sets at the maglio that's a good touch in the block that time by guzen all right can't get a swing so far so good against Vargas is that going to stay in play yes it will Thokvun though doesn't want to do anything with it it is fallen kindly now Guzen oh yes Guzen will take the point Tukie having swipes left right and center career attack points so that's a block back off of the block double block that's a good serve it's a pretty good play that from Guzen but it's Tukie now oh yes what a block and what a time to get it it's set point Tukie this is a massive turnaround Shahin serves again no way through is it no it's not hit the floor yet Tukie celebrating a little early no four two oh it's gone as a two touch franson balladeen with the thumb down gets it done Tukie take the set 25 21 they lead this quarterfinal against Canada by two sets to one Tukie with the serve to get this fourth set underway they're leading 2-1 that's going to be free ball or down ball that's not bad from franson and that is superb from Aydin off of the net that's a good swing from Van Ryck kept the scoreboard ticking over but someone else from Canada needs to find that responsibility they get better quality reception they can use more of their offense they have balladeen's played so well passing's been excellent great players Van Ryck that's exactly what they need opportunities for Kira Von Ryck to do Kira Von Ryck things maybe she can drag them into a fifth set for Tukie right now Canada looking for the way back in but they're not finding it Gunes has shut the door through the middle and he's coach watching on Von Ryck had been hitting that ball to five Japan oh good up for Murgate and then an angle from Vargas that sometimes only Vargas can do Canada looking to stay in the match well played Gray gets the fingers of Vargas one side out will do it for Tukie that's a bit tight but it's all done now Aydin works the block Tukie take the set 25-17 they've beaten Canada by three sets to one Tukie move on to the semi-finals here in Macau China of the Women's Volleyball Nations League finals
