As the angels are trying to go three in a row.
Yeah.
Like what's got the angels all of a sudden, and our boy that we talked
about yesterday, Reed Detmers, who I would not be shocked if this is his last
start in an angel's uniform here as the trade deadline approaches, but all of a
sudden the Cardinals, they can't hit left-handed pitching and maybe a little
dose of reality coming back down to, uh, to life here, uh, as, uh, this, this has
not been a great road trip for him to say the least.
No, I thought that the Cardinals would take care of their business
against the angels and hasn't gone that way.
I think it's fair to say, Joe, the Cardinals are playing their worst
baseball of the season at the least opportune time, because that front
office has to make a decision what they're going to do next week as far
as either add, subtract or do nothing.
And I think it may be trending now the other way, Joe, uh, you know, with the
way that the Marlins have played lately, like I said, all of a sudden you've got
the Pirates and the Diamondbacks in much better spots than they were a week ago.
So look, we're going to come right down to the wire on all this stuff.
I don't anticipate anything happening this weekend, maybe not
even early part of next week too.
There's just so much uncertainty heading into this thing.
And yeah, I mean, look, the Brewers today, four to two, that's pretty
much a wrap when the Brewers have a lead like that late in the game.
They just go to those guys in the bullpen and that's usually it.
So we'll keep an eye on that one as well.
And look, as far as Washington and Colorado goes, if there's one
pitcher that can really defy some of those odds in those, in that
game, in that environment, it is Kate Cavalli.
I mean, Joe, Kate Cavalli, I think next year going into the season
will be one of those, you know, 45 to one Cy Young award guys that
you kind of put in there a little bit at the beginning of the season.
Cause he's a, I know, look, he may not be the most well-liked guy after
some of the stuff that's gone on, but Joe, he is a really strong pitcher.
And I think they've got a good one for years to come there.
They just got to fill out the rest of the rotation.
Not easy to do.
Yeah.
Griffin has been a side.
Listen, starting pitching, they've done a pretty good job at the
bullpen, still a hot mess right now for the nationals and probably
will be for the foreseeable future.
But, uh, we mentioned it yesterday, third best in major league
baseball on the road this year.
They have been great.
And I mean, great for those that have backed them on the road all year long,
but they are going to need that bullpen at some point to come in and hold the
lead, but a big single, I think they just got two more across.
So three, nothing now gives them a little bit of a cushion in that spot there.
