Keeping your skin safe in the summer sun

Summer fun in the Pacific Northwest usually means a whole lot of sun, water, outdoor activities in the heat, but it can take a toll on your skin and your hair. And from viral sunscreens to clever outdoor hacks, we have beauty expert and my friend Tiffany Cullors here to give us our top picks. You're going to keep us protected. Yep, we're going to keep you protected and primed and skin will be healthy still because it's all skincare products as well. I do love that because you know back in my day, sunscreen was just like white zinc cement that you put all over your face. What's good right now? Yes, okay, so my top three viral are the Medicube No Cast Just Glow. What I love about this brand, it has an SPF 50, but feel it's not sticky. So all of these are primers. You can put this on under your makeup or you can wear it by yourself. These all will also enhance and make your skin better. It's like glowy. It is. This one, that's the No Cast Just Glow by Medicube and you can get that on Amazon. It's $22. And then my next favorite are the Sung Boon Editor, the Hydro Booster, and the Daily Invisible. $27 also from Amazon and these are heavy on the antioxidants. So if you have skin issues, this will make sure that you don't have any breakouts. Very important. And then Tear Tear is having a moment because BTS is on tour and their member V is their brand ambassador right now. That's a big deal. So my favorite two of Tear Tear are the Hydro UV Shield Sunscreen SPF 50 and what I love about this one is that it has a lot of aloe in it. So you're gonna feel the hydration on that. Yes, and if you got any like redness already, would that calm it down? It does calm it right down. Yes, it's very soothing. And then brand new, this just launched a month ago, Sun Bouncy Glow Lip Balm by Tear Tear. My color that I'm wearing right now is the coral one. Yes, beautiful. And what I love about them is it's balmy. It's not, it's not a lip gloss. There's no stick. It's very balmy. It has a lot of peptides. It has a lot of shine and that's super fun. Wow. Another lip product that is also an SPF 30. It's tiny. You can toss it in and then you can keep your lips protected. So both of these have an SPF 30. They have really great peptides and you can't forget your lips. No, absolutely. So important. And I do want to go back here because these three, these three are like Korean skincare, right? That's part of the reason it's gone viral. K-Beauty and it's here to stay. If they just keep the beauty industry keeps on coming up with the most beautiful products and they really are good for our skin, really great for our skin. Now what is this little sticker? So this is a fun, it's Spot My UV. And what you do is you put that little sticker on, then you put sunscreen on top, it turns clear. And when it's time to reapply sunscreen, it turns purple again. I mean, I love it for like little kid lips that are running around and you're like, when this turns purple, you come back over. Sometimes you fall asleep and you're laying on your back and all of a sudden you wake up and you're like, oh, how long have I been sleeping? Yes. So that's something. Now this is hair protection. This is easy to get. It's by Dove. This is an SPF 70, but also it's a repair for your hair as well. So if your hair's up in a ponytail or a top knot, you want to spray that on, rub it through, and now you're protected. And then extra, we were talking about, we wish that would have worn hats in our many years. Now this is a ponytail hat, so you can stick a little, and then you've got your sun protection. These are both SPF 50, and you can get those on Amazon as well. Oh, and I love that this one kind of sticks, right? You can tie it. You can pop it on. You've got a cute little travel hat. Absolutely. Oh, that is really clever. And you know what? They make the hats cuter now too. And for the body, tell me about this. So this is recovery. So okay, you've sunscreened. You're still out in the sun. You still need to repair. So Kula is one of my favorite companies. They also make a really great sunscreen, but this is a recovery lotion. And then this is a recovery spray. So they do have a lot of aloe. There's a lot of vitamins, nourishment, nurturing for all of that outside play. And then this is amazing. So this recovery mist, it actually, I wrote down the products. It has hypochlorous acid. And what that does, it kills any infections. So this is actually good for tattoos and for piercings too. You're looking out for absolutely everybody Tiffany. Thank you so much. Okay. So I feel like you really got us covered here, especially when it comes to wanting to add a little color on the lips while you're still protecting yourself. This is all kind of beautiful sunscreen makeup. So your skins can still be glowy. You can still be protected. You can put a little bit of makeup on top of this too, because it is a primer. So it does help the makeup not fall up, melt sweaty off. And then the lip balms, both of them, especially this tear tear one, it has a long lasting SPF power. So, you know, sometimes you're eating off your lip glosses. This will stay. So you're guaranteed protection. Oh, that is wonderful. And then you'll apply it. And then will it turn clear again?
