Thinking about retiring to Middletown, Delaware but do not want to be in a 55+ community? This home offers one floor living but not the added monthly HOA fee!
This video showcases a spacious ranch-style home for sale in The Legends community of Middletown, Delaware. Ideal for retirees who prefer a non-age-restricted neighborhood, the property features over 3,000 total square feet of living space, including a fully finished basement, and is located on a corner lot near the Frog Hollow Golf Course.
I hear time and time again from my retirees
that they're looking for a ranch style home,
but they do not wanna be in a 55 plus.
And I have the perfect listing for you.
It is located in Middletown, Delaware.
It is in the Legends,
which is right next to Frog Hollow Golf Course.
It is a corner lot,
which means you have a pretty nice front yard,
and then you have a paper patio off of the back of the house.
So without further ado,
let's just jump right on in
because I'm so excited to show you this listing.
So like I said, this one is located in the Legends,
which great about the Legends
is that there is actually no HOA.
There is a civic association,
and that is $75 annually.
Annually, this is a three bedroom, three bath home.
It is 2,040 square feet on the top half.
So on the bottom half, the basement is fully finished,
which means total finished square foot
is over 3,000 square feet.
Let's look inside.
Okay, so it does have a two car garage.
It has, which also I do love about the Legends
because every house is different.
Not cookie cutter.
You're not seeing the same house in three different colors
or three shades of colors all throughout the community.
It has a stone front with a mixture of vinyl siding.
The roof is 10 years old
and it comes with a 25 year warranty
that is transferable to the new buyer.
So we do have a paved driveway.
Like I said, it is on a corner.
So you do have sidewalk that goes all the way around,
all the way around the property.
So coming in, it does have hardwood floors throughout
that are in very, very good condition.
You have a small foyer,
so it's enough room to put a little table here.
You could even do a bench.
You could do a mirror to make it look slightly bigger
or you could add some hooks here,
especially if the grandkids are coming over
or if you are a no shoe household,
plenty of room to put some cubbies right here
for people's shoes.
Coming in, so you're gonna come into the foyer.
You're gonna come through this door right here.
There is a coat closet in this little hallway area.
And then that leads into the kitchen.
The kitchen, you do have white cabinets.
You have a nice size kitchen island
with the cabinets in the kitchen island as well,
which is nice for extra storage.
The fridge is brand new and so is the microwave.
You have plenty of countertop space, like I said.
And then right here, you have more countertop space.
There is a pantry right next to the refrigerator.
It is an eat-in kitchen as well.
So as you can see right here,
we do have a table that is very large actually.
And then we have tons of natural light coming
in these windows right off of this eat-in kitchen area.
You do have an upgraded floor with this marble look.
And then off of the kitchen area,
you do have the living room and the dining room.
So like I just said, you do have those hardwood floors
that come throughout the dining room and the living room.
You have a fireplace that you could put your TV
above the fireplace.
You could also put your TV on this wall as well,
depending on how large your TV.
You also have this space over here
that can be used like right here.
This can be used too for seating.
And then it also leads out to a sunroom.
What's really nice about the sunroom
is that it has tons of natural light
and it could be used as an additional,
it could be used as a morning room.
It could be used as a coffee room.
It could be used as just additional space for entertainment.
And then like we talked about,
we do have this dining room space right here as well.
So you can fit a good size dining room table in here,
especially if you are the type of person
that you have a large table,
but you take the leafs out
so that you can make it kind of smaller,
especially when you don't have guests coming over.
This table or this area could be used for,
I would say like an eight person table
because you have all of this space right here
to bring that table out.
And also you would room for a China cabinet
or even a buffet server if you wanted to use that as well.
And like I said,
lots of natural light coming in these windows as well.
I would probably remove these curtains
and really bring in that natural light.
Then we have the sunroom.
So I know we talked about this already,
but can be used as an extension for the entertainment space.
Lots of natural light in here.
You could make this a TV room if you wanted to.
You could possibly put a corner TV in here,
but I truly would use this as a reading room
or a morning room,
or really just an extension of the living room.
So as you can see, it sits right off of the living room.
Coming into the primary bedroom,
we just keep in mind that the furniture
is actually pretty large in here.
So this is a large bedroom.
I know that doesn't seem like it,
but taking out, removing the furniture,
it has hardwood floors.
Once again, lots of natural light,
but privacy with this tree in the back.
The tree blocks not only the primary bedroom windows
for privacy, but also the bathroom,
which I'll show you in a minute.
So plenty of room for a king-size bed.
This is a king-size bed, by the way.
You can have nightstands on both sides of the bed.
You can even have a dresser.
I would remove this armoire.
You have a beautiful walk-in closet
that has plenty of space for all of your clothes.
Coming in to the bathroom,
we do have a stall shower plus a tub.
I absolutely love this window.
It is, to me, it's gorgeous.
I love the fact that it is private
because you do have this tree blocking
anything that would be outside of the window.
And then you do have double sinks, a vanity,
and it's separate, right?
So, you know, your husband or significant other
can have their side and then you can have your side.
And then it does have, the toilet is right here,
and it does have a water closet
so that, you know, people have their own privacy.
So we have the stall shower,
and then we have that beautiful tub.
And it is double door,
so if you needed to get in a wheelchair
or anything else like that, these doors both open,
and so there's plenty of space to come in to this bathroom,
even if you had a walker as well.
This is the hall bathroom.
It does have one sink, but a very large vanity.
It is tile and it does have a tub as well.
So if you do have your grandkids that come over,
this would be perfect for them
because they don't have their own separate bathroom
and they can take their nightly bath in there.
This is the second bedroom.
What I love about these bedrooms
is that they are very, very nicely sized.
This does have hardwood floors
throughout this bedroom as well.
This is a queen-size bed,
but there honestly is room for a king-size bed,
and maybe your adult children still live with you
or they live a few hours away.
They can come stay with you.
You can put multiple beds in here.
So say you wanted to put in two single beds in here,
there's plenty of room,
plenty of room to get by on both sides,
plus dressers right here.
So that just kind of gives you an idea
on how big this room actually is.
You do have double door closets,
very decently sized as well.
Then coming into the third bedroom,
the third bedroom is carpeted,
but it is being used as an office.
So this kind of gives you an idea
that if you were looking for a flex space
or something that can be used as an office,
if you are on the brink of retirement
and looking to possibly work from home
or anything else like that,
plenty of room.
There is a closet in this bedroom as well.
It is not as big as the second bedroom,
but it is deeper rather than wider.
Coming down to the basement.
The basement stairs are actually off
of that eat-in kitchen area in the kitchen.
So you're gonna come down the stairs.
It's like an L-shaped.
They are carpeted and it is carpeted.
This is Berber.
So you're gonna come down the stairs.
They do have a pool table entertainment
set up right now.
You could always change that,
but I always picture this.
So you do have this large,
I mean, a huge rec room.
So it is the footprint of the upstairs.
You have this large, large rec room.
You have a fireplace.
This room right here is what we just talked about.
That is the flex space where it could be a bedroom
or it could be a man cave.
It could be a craft room.
It could be, I mean,
there's so many different things it could be.
And then you do have a full bathroom
off of that particular flex space.
So this is just another area.
So these are the stairs right here.
This area right here is just unused space right now.
So you could use it for anything.
If you wanted to set this up
like in a little apartment area.
You could have your living room here.
You could have a living room here.
I mean, you could even do
maybe like a kitchenette dining area over here.
I mean, there's so many different possibilities.
Plus you have this area over here as well.
I mean, they used it as an entertainment space right here.
I'm thinking, like I can remember when I was younger,
we had a space like this that my grandparents set up
and we would play the Nintendo 64.
Showing my age there, but it's like my favorite.
It was like the Duck Hunt game.
And my grandparents actually had a big TV like this.
This is bringing back some memories.
So then this is the other space.
Like, I mean, it's just crazy.
You have so many different like spaces or zones down here.
So that you could use this as the gaming space.
You could use this as the entertainment space
or a music area.
Then you have a card table right here.
I mean, there's so many different things.
Like if you want to have cards with the girls
or cards with the guys,
or you wanna have a craft space
that's maybe right here with like,
or a sewing club.
Like there's so many different possibilities for this area.
And then that is the full bath
that is off of that other bedroom
that were other space that could be used as a bedroom.
And we do have the sink and this is a tub stall shower.
Outside, like I said, we do have a paver patio.
So you could use this for entertainment space.
There's this large tree for privacy
as well as shade from the sun.
Here is that corner a lot right here.
Lots of space in the front yard.
And then like we just talked about,
it is off of the golf course.
So this is Frog Hollow Golf Course.
So to come into the community, it is very quick.
You can come down this road
and then come right to your house.
It is in a cul-de-sac, which is kind of nice.
You're not gonna have like a lot of traffic
coming in through this main drag.
See how it comes here.
And then you go to the circle here.
And then this, like I said, is the Frog Hollow.
There is a tennis court.
There's a pool here.
You could get a swim club membership if you wanted to.
And then like I said, very close to the golf course.
That kind of gives you an idea of what the Frog Hollow,
what that looks like.
You have this.
This is like a little entertainment space,
kind of like a clubhouse.
And that is the front.
So yeah.
So that one, like I said, is a three-bedroom,
a three-bathroom.
It is 2,040 square feet,
but total square footage with the finished basement
would be over 3,000 square feet.
And it could technically be a four-bedroom,
but like I said, it does not have that egress window,
but it could be used downstairs with that fourth bedroom.
The Legends is also very centrally located,
very close to downtown Middletown,
which means that you can get to the ER very quickly.
You can also get to shopping, groceries, restaurants,
even like if you wanted to go to Kohl's or Walmart or Target
and it's very, very centrally located
and very easy to get to.
