Weather alert issued for strong to severe storms Tuesday

Good Tuesday morning, everybody. Here is a look at the 22 new storm team forecast focus. They're going to be tracking some showers and eventually some thunderstorms as we head into the afternoon and evening hours. And some of these storms could be on the strong to severe side. That's why we have issued that weather alert as we head into tomorrow. Some sunshine and continue the chance for shower thunderstorm. I think mainly in the afternoon, they shouldn't be as widespread as what we're going to be dealing with out there today. After tomorrow, we're looking at a stretch of nice weather. And as we head into the weekend, looking bright and dry with temperatures both Saturday and Sunday in the eighties. Here is a look at our severe weather outlook for today and most of Massachusetts and Connecticut, Rhode Island level one on a scale of 1 to 5. You can see the old far southwestern Berkshire County has the level two. So again, there is that chance that some of these storms later on today could be on the strong to severe side. 59 right now in Agawam or 60 in Palmer South Hadley at 59 57 in Wendell. So pretty comfortable out there. We have 59 in coming 10 55 over in Stockbridge and two points still pretty comfortable with our new points in the fifties out there right now, 56 degrees. But as we head through this morning and especially this afternoon, we're gonna see those two points rising into the sixties. You're definitely gonna start to feel that humidity and it's gonna be sticking around for the day tomorrow as well. Clouds and radar. You can see mainly cloudy over New England right now, keeping an eye on some showers that are developing out of Pennsylvania, New Jersey just crossing over into New York state. And you can see this line of thunderstorms that's coming together out over the Great Lakes in the Ohio Valley. This is what we're gonna be tracking for later on this afternoon and this evening. We'll take you through it hour by hour with an updated sky cast. So there we are seven o'clock, mostly cloudy, may see a couple breaks of sunshine. But there we are at 11 a.m. Starting to see some showers, mainly some scattered showers. I don't expect anything severe as we head through the first half of the day. There may be a couple of downpours out there, but there we are at five o'clock this evening. That's when our threat for the severe weather goes up and you can see some oranges and reds indicating some very heavy downpours, potential for some strong damaging winds, lightning and even some hail. There we are at nine o'clock. Another round of thunderstorms moving through with downpours and gusty winds. By 11 o'clock, most of the activity is sliding off to our east and things are gonna dry out for the most part overnight. We'll start the day with some sunshine tomorrow and then the clouds will kind of build up and there could be a few scattered showers and thunderstorms. Sky cast not showing much, but there is that chance as we head into the afternoon and evening hours on Wednesday. Then we clear out Wednesday night. Looks like a beautiful day on the way for Thursday. There we are seven a.m. Lots of sunshine Thursday morning and we'll see plenty of sunshine Thursday afternoon with temperatures Thursday right around 80 degrees. Your forecast looks like this in Hampton County today, 82 degrees Springfield, 81 Westfield with those showers and thunderstorms later on this afternoon. If you had up in the Hampshire County showers and thunderstorms mainly this afternoon, 81 North Hampton, 80 in Belcher Town, Franklin County chance for those showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, 82 in Greenfield, 77 in Charlemont and the Berkshires temperatures their upper seventies to near 80 degrees, 78 Lee 77 in Pittsfield with those afternoon showers and thunderstorms tonight, mostly cloudy showers and thunderstorms this evening.
