Inside an Antique Dealer’s Packed Estate Sale
EVERETT
An antique dealer’s packed estate reveals room after room of vintage treasures, unexpected collections, and beautiful pieces waiting for new homes.
We’re helping prepare an antique dealer’s estate sale in Everett, Washington, and giving you an inside look before the doors open. I’m arriving without knowing what to expect, but the crew is already arranging the sale. The front rooms are filled with jewelry, boudoir items, perfume bottles, chintz china, elegant glass, MCM chalk heads, Mission oak furniture, antique clocks, miniatures, wall shelves, pictures, a brass samovar, and even a 1950s accordion.
As we continue through the house, the collections seem endless. Our wonderful assistants are pricing toothpick holders, shakers, egg cups, children’s books, pottery, glass, china, tableware, Fenton, primitives, tins, Frankoma, Franciscan Ware, Fiesta, cookware, utensils, and pantry items. Down the hall, another bedroom holds solid wood furniture, dolls, figurines, linens, and clothing, while more vintage and household items are still arriving from the garage.
There is plenty of work ahead, but everything is coming together for this weekend’s sale. We’re honored to help our friend’s family and to see her antique and vintage collections find new homes with collectors, resellers, and people who appreciate the stories behind these pieces. We hope you enjoy this personal look inside the estate, and if you are near Everett, Washington, you can experience it in person.
