Day 2 of 31 Single Stroke Roll featuring ATL DRUM ACADEMY Cool Drummers. Today's snare drum rudiment will be the Single Stroke Roll conducted by Mr. James Riles with the Atlanta Drum Academy Beginner's Class.

The single stroke is the most common drum rudiment for all drummers. It's usually the first step or first rudiment to learn. It can be applied to drum set, marching band and even hand drumming. Most people use them in drum solos, drum fills and drum even snare drum battles. It's a basis for all other drum rudiments after it. To be successful playing this drum rudiment is to be successful playing any other drum rudiment in the music education realm.
