Hidden in the quiet village of Panoší Újezd, Czech Republic, this remarkable summer house transforms a centuries-old pigsty into a minimalist countryside retreat. Instead of demolishing the original stone structure, the architect carefully restored it using exposed concrete, raw steel, and handcrafted details that celebrate the building's history. Deep concrete-framed windows flood the compact interior with natural light, while multifunctional built-in elements maximize every inch of space. Blending rural heritage with contemporary architecture, the project demonstrates how adaptive reuse can create timeless, sustainable living without erasing the past.
