Across the service, members train year-round to prepare for hurricanes, floods, and large-scale disaster rescues.

Through the Coast Guard’s Catastrophic Incident Search and Rescue training, crews strengthen mission-critical skills like rooftop and attic rescues, land navigation, wide-area search movements, waterborne vehicle extractions, and domestic animal recovery. They also train using national standards integrating with #FEMA, state partners, and the National Incident Management System to ensure seamless coordination when disasters strike.
