Hi There! and Welcome to my channel! Today I am giving my kitchen and breakfast room a soft summer refresh with some simple seasonal decorating swaps inspired by the timeless blue and white style you often see in Nancy Meyers interiors. I’ll be styling my open shelving, swapping out some of my more neutral decor pieces for blue and white ginger jars, creating an elegant but approachable summer tablescape in the breakfast room, and hanging my new blue and white gingham and floral printable wall art.
If you love cozy, collected homes with classic charm, simple decorating ideas, and elevated seasonal styling that still feels warm and livable, I hope this video gives you lots of inspiration for your own home this summer.

The creator shares her process for transitioning her kitchen and breakfast room from a neutral palette to a timeless blue and white summer theme. She emphasizes making simple, cost-effective swaps—such as updating art prints and vessels—to refresh the space while maintaining a cohesive look that can be adapted with various accent colors throughout the season.
Hey there! Welcome to my home for another decorating video. We are back in the kitchen
today because it is officially time for me to add some of my summer decor here to this space,
and I'm really excited to share this with you because what I like to do for summer is a blue
and white colored palette, and then throughout the season I incorporate different accent colors
with the blue and white just to kind of change it up. I like to do lemons, I like to do red for
red, white, and blue. Once we get to Memorial Day, the 4th of July, this is one of my favorite,
favorite seasons to decorate for. And one of my favorite things to share with you,
because this color palette for some is summer. There are some out there that love a blue and
white color palette all year long. It really is a timeless look. Yes, this is my summer decor,
but this can really be timeless decorating inspiration for you if blue and white is the
color palette that you love in your home. I'm really looking forward to sharing with you how
I incorporate the color palette into my home, specifically my kitchen and my breakfast room
today. If you watch my channel, then you know I recently decorated my kitchen with a very neutral
color palette, which is what you see behind me right now. This is a color palette that I feel
like I could leave out all year long if I wanted to, but of course you know me, I'm a seasonal
decorator, so I like to change it up. I'm going to try to show you how I take my palette from neutral
into a season. So thank you so much for being here today. I hope that you enjoyed this video.
Let's get to decorating! I'm starting here on my open shelving today, as I usually do when I'm in
this space, and you'll see that throughout this video, I'm really just making a few simple swaps
to freshen everything up for the new season. Things like switching out some of the more neutral pieces
and canisters for blue and white ginger jars, adding in a little more color and pattern, but
just in very small ways. One of my favorite easy swaps is small art prints like this one. I usually
get them half off at Hobby Lobby, and changing them out is a simple way to add color. You know
I am a seasonal dish collector, so I like to display some of those here on the shelves as well.
Most of the dishes you'll see in this video today actually came from home goods.
All right, I'm getting hungry, so I'm going to take a quick break and make a little sandwich,
which makes it the perfect time for me to share today's video sponsor with you,
Graza. I discovered Graza olive oil a couple of years ago, and it has been the only olive oil that
I've used ever since, so when I found out that they came out with this mayo, I absolutely had
to try it. I think it actually makes a lot of sense that Graza made mayo because mayo is mostly
oil, so if the oil isn't good, the mayo isn't going to be good either. Most of what you find
in the stores use things like canola oil and soybean oil, and you can really taste the difference.
Graza does it the Graza way. They use olive oil, cage-free eggs, and I'm telling you, this is
literally so good. I love mayo, and I think this might be my favorite mayo of all time. I'm serious.
This is my second bottle. I like both the original and the fancy mayo, but I'm using the fancy mayo
today. It has a very bold and slightly tangy flavor with this really good olive oil taste.
I also have their original. I really like this one, too, because you can cook with this. They
also have a garlic aioli, which is good for dipping and spreading. I just don't personally
have it on hand right now. If you're familiar with Graza, then you know they make high-quality,
delicious olive oil. Graza mayo and aioli are available in-store only, so I will have a link
in the description box below that will take you to their online store locator, or you can just scan
the QR code right here on the screen. It will also take you right to their site as well so that you
can find the one nearest you. Picking right back up where we left off on the open shelves, you'll
notice that I tend to use a lot of white faux florals in my decor because what I'll do is just
move them around, swap out the vessels, keep the actual florals, and I think that's a great way
to utilize your decor, freshen it up a little bit without having to just go out and get all new
florals. You can use a neutral floral in a fresh vessel. Some of my absolute favorite go-tos are
these white roses that you see all the time in my videos from Hobby Lobby, so I can't link those,
but if you go into your Hobby Lobby on the aisles where they have the actual bundles of flowers,
you will find them there. And then I also love small cherry blossom stems. I know that some
people like to use flowers in season. I do too, just depending on the season, but these are two
things that I really use all year long regardless of the season. I'm going to take the plastic off
this and tell you why I'm so excited that I found this lamp. It's a Ralph Lauren lamp, and a couple
of years ago, I saw a blue and white lamp like this, Ralph Lauren, at HomeGoods, and it was
really, really large, and I thought, you know what? I don't really need that lamp, so I didn't buy it,
and it has haunted me ever since. I've gone into HomeGoods occasionally to see if they had
something similar, and they finally had this one at my HomeGoods in stock, and I thought it was so
pretty. The perfect kitchen lamp, and I'm really excited to have it.
One thing that I decided to do today that I thought I would share with you,
I actually decided to use the lids of my ginger jars to contain my coffee cups, the to-go
disposable cups, and the little sleeves, which I thought is just a cute way to use them,
especially when I'm already using the jar to house flowers and it doesn't have the top on it. I don't
know, just thought I would share it with you because I think this is a neat way to repurpose
something like this. Okay, so we are moving on to the breakfast room, and if you've watched my
channel before, if you've watched me decorate this space, you know that the first thing I usually do
is swap out the little art prints that I put on each side of this window. I use very simple,
inexpensive Amazon frames for this. This is a 12 by 16 frame size with an 8.5 by 11 mat. I will
be sure to link it below, but you can get them in other sizes, so just get a size that you think
fits best for your space if you want to do something like this, but I really like this
because this is a simple way to change out the decor for the season that I feel like makes a big
impact for very little money. I make and print all of my art prints on canva.com. I have been
asking in the past if I could make these available, and I think I have finally figured out how I can
get these to you, so if this is something you're interested in, let me know in the comments below.
I am going to try to get these up in a set. They will be a digital download. I'm probably going to
charge a little bit for them because I do make them, but it won't be a lot, and they will come
in a set of eight to ten just depending. I say eight to ten because I usually typically design
eight for this space, but there are times that during a season I'll design a few more because
I'll use some around here, and then I'll use some around my home and other places, like for example
for the 4th of July, I have more. I'm going to start linking these in the description box below.
If you're interested in them, you can purchase the digital download, and if you have any questions
about printing them at all, just ask me, or if you have questions about the type of paper I use.
I actually have two different types of paper that I printed on today. I will use just a regular
standard cardstock that you can get from Hobby Lobby. I will link some of my favorites from
Amazon, and then I also use this watercolor paper that I love, and it's a little bit bigger of a
piece of paper. It's got a little bit of texture to it, which I love, but you can really use anything
that you would like. What matters when you're printing something like this, if you're unfamiliar
and you've never done it before, are your printer settings. Make sure that you're using a printer
that is capable of printing graphics and photos, and then make sure you have those settings on
best quality. Also make sure you have the settings on the proper sizing. So for example, these will
all come in a pdf size for 8.5 by 11 pages. I actually print on a piece of paper that is
a 9 by 12, so once I put them in the frame and line them up properly, outer layer is just like
right on the edge right there. But you can always purchase the digital downloads and
take them somewhere to like CVS or Staples and have them printed for you on really nice quality
paper or photo paper. I'll also try to share other seasons as they come up and have those available
for you too. Hopefully that helps for those of you that have asked for them in the past. I really
wanted to be able to share this resource, and I'm excited that I can now!
