It's been Zynga bringing Wall Street to Main Street.
Netflix shares rose nearly 2% Monday as investors bought the stock near recent lows
ahead of its July 16th second quarter earnings report. The stock outperformed a declining
broader market as the communications services sector moved higher. Netflix remains below its
20-day, 50-day, and 200-day moving averages, while a death cross formed in December 2025.
Analysts expect earnings of $0.79 per share, up from $0.72 a year earlier,
on revenue of $12.58 billion, compared with $11.08 billion.
Netflix carries a buy rating with an average price target of $110.76,
although Oppenheimer, KeyBank, and Citigroup recently lowered their forecasts.
The stock trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 23.7.
Shares were down by 0.81%, at $73.23 in Tuesday's pre-market trading,
according to BenzingaProData.
