Bermuda Best Kept Secret at Port - Calico Jacks Bermuda's Hidden Gem

We were in Bermuda for three days and let me tell you something. Bermuda fish sandwich is one of the best sandwiches you had and we found a hidden gem on this trip. Like we said, Bermuda is famous for a fish sandwich. We've had many here. Remember the last one? Art Mel's. Art Laura got that fish sandwich at Art Mel's. Let's open this up and see that. Oh my god. You guys can mouth water on this one. Oh my god. What are you gonna do with that? That's it. Fish. I can't even get my mouth around it. That is the best fish sandwich I ever had, you know? It is, yeah. Fish sandwich in Bermuda are famous and we found one you don't have to even leave the pier. It was called what? Calico Jack. It's on the old pirate ship that sits there at the dockyard. And the prices on their fish sandwiches were amazing. Yeah. What? 17 bucks and then we paid I think like 10 or 11 dollars for the rum swizzles. It was really, really economical. We could have stayed there for hours. And you get down to, you can go down and watch your fish sandwich being made. The staff was outstanding. Yeah. Their drinks were great. Let's just show you. One thing is for sure, this is our first time on the Norwegian Aqua. And I just said to Todd this morning, I definitely want to come back. This ship is just beautiful. Not overcrowded. I really love it. I can't wait to get back on. I really want to stay on. So if I can talk that into it, that's what we're gonna do. Don't tempt me. It's Bermuda next week again. I can go back for a fish sandwich. This is how close to Calico Jacks. It's literally at the end of this pier. The Floating Bar and Grill. Fresh local fish sandwich starting at 16 dollars. And let me tell you, it's amazing. Calico Jacks. The best fresh traditional Bermuda fish sandwich. Let's check this out. Look for the pirate ship. It's right next to Captain Kirk's Cove. The floating fun park. All right, let me explain a little bit about this pirate ship restaurant slash bar. It has three levels to it. The top level is where you can drive this ship like Jack Sparrow. Up here is where you can get great views of the water park right next to the ship. And great views of the Bermuda Harbor too. Maybe you swim at this fantastic water park and then go to the ship for something to eat or drink. Then there's the lower deck all the way at the bottom where they have some table seating along the side of the ship. And it's right across from this incredible local bar. I'll tell you one thing. It doesn't look like it, but this ship has more seating than you could think. Look at this spot. Out here on this Calico Jax. Look, you can see the fort over here. Toilets this way, port and starboard. This is just a quick tour of Calico. There's the bathrooms. Ladies, galley and the men's. Then there's the mid-level of the ship where you can eat and they have served food and drinks and you get to meet the local great staff on board. I can't say enough about Calico Jax. If you want to not leave the cruise port, walk over here because it's close to the ship. And again, great fish sandwiches and drinks at great prices. If you're coming in by cruise ship, trust me, these drinks will be a lot cheaper than what you're paying on a ship. And make sure you're going to see the galley down below where and meet the kitchen staff. That's where they're making the food and look at these fish sandwiches. These guys are working hard down here. That looks really good over there. And yes, they will let you feed the fish. There's Laura. We're waiting for one of their classics here. It's the fish sandwich Bermuda style. How is the rum swizzle, honey? It's my second one, so really, really good. All right, we got the Bermuda fish on, what is this, Calico Jax? Yes. I don't have my mic on, so I don't know how this is going to sound. Look at that fish. Oh, that looks good. She's wondering if it's as good as Art Mills. This is right by the cruise ship, Calico Jax. It's a bar that floats on the water. What do you think? What I've been waiting for for weeks. Weeks? So good. All right, look at that. This fish, they came right on the boat. They can't get any fresher than this. Bermuda style, coleslaw, cheese, hot sauce, and raisin bread. I don't know, this is pretty darn good, isn't it, hon? Yes. For the price and everything, right by the cruise ship, you can't beat this. Laura says the fish, it couldn't be more fresh. I mean, look how clean and white that is. That is fresh fish. Awesome.
