ZERO Investment Side Hustles of 2023

So I want you to picture this for a minute. You're laying on a beach, sipping a cold beverage, your phone chimes with the notification, you just made $400. That's the dream people have of passive income. And my goal for this video, and one of the goals for my channel, is to help you know how to turn this into reality. But one problem with passive income is that you need some capital to get started. One of the most common questions I get is if I only have $500 to invest, how can I make $10,000 a month in passive income? The answer is you can't. You need to find more capital to invest. So what I recommend is finding a side hustle. A side hustle will get you some extra income that you can start putting into passive income, and then you can make your passive income dream a reality. So I'm gonna talk about five side hustles you can do this summer with $0 capital to start making extra money to put into passive income. So first off, I'm in the crypto world. There's a lot of opportunities that are spinning up in the crypto world. We have all these new projects that are coming out day after day. I get pitched five projects a day, probably. New crypto projects that are coming up. And as these communities spin up, they need guardians. They need moderators, specifically for their Discord communities. So Justin, you know him, Pocket Aces. He's my community manager. He's made modding in Discord a side hustle for him, and it's become such a side hustle for him that he's been able to quit his nine-to-five job and focus on doing that. Justin was a guy looking to make some passive income. He knew he didn't have quite the finances he needed to make that happen, so he started hustling. He started looking around, where can I provide value? So he started just DMing different projects, connecting, networking, and just asking people and looking, where can I provide value? So he started modding different Discords. Some started paying him 100 bucks a week, 200 bucks a week, 400 bucks a week. And eventually, he was able to make enough from this side hustle that he was able to quit his nine-to-five. And now he has this extra income coming in that he can put towards these passive income plays. So the secret sauce there, passion, ingenuity, and honestly, just hard work. Justin hustled and hustled and hustled, provided value, and eventually was able to make that side hustle successful. And once you get a few communities where you're able to do that work for, others start reaching out. They ask, hey, who's the go-to guy for Discord moderating? And Pocket Aces is the answer. Second side hustle you could start is a YouTube channel. Obviously, I'm a little biased towards this one. And you don't need a colossal following to make money on YouTube. Most people think the way you make money on YouTube is through the ads, but that makes very little money. Even for people with huge subscriber counts, most of the money does not come in from YouTube ads. You can interview project owners. I know several crypto YouTubers who have less than 5,000 subscribers who make 1,000, 1,500 per video just for bringing on these projects and giving them exposure. Then, of course, there's also affiliate links. So if there's something that you really love and you're sharing that with people, I think it's good that you get paid for getting that exposure out there. And if you wanna get started with affiliate marketing, just think about what products and services you really love. Then check if they have an affiliate program. Then, really, you can get on video and just talk about things that you love and you get paid for it. It's really a pretty cool deal. So dropshipping, imagine you have your own really cool store, e-commerce store, you're selling great products, but you don't have to stock any inventory, you don't really have to deal with customer support, you don't have to deal with shipping. You find a product that people want, you sell it on your store, then when someone makes a purchase, you ship from the third-party supplier direct to the customer. And there's a ton of training courses, things like that, showing you how to get started with dropshipping. I do have resources from a few people that have done-for-you dropshipping stores. So if you have a lot of time but not a lot of money, you wanna do it yourself. If you have a lot of money but not a lot of time, find one of the done-for-you. But dropshipping for the last 20 years has been a great way to make money. And make sure to stick around until the end of the video. I have an even better option for making money on Amazon. I'll talk about it a little bit later. And the next summer's side hustle I wanna talk about is something anyone can do. They say that almost every single person has over $50,000 worth of knowledge in their brain. So there's some topic that you know more about than almost anyone else that people would be willing to pay for if you shared your expertise. So that's why I love digital products. Let's say you're a gardening expert. Well, you can package up all those different nuggets of wisdom that you've learned through all your years gardening, put it together into a digital product, and you can sell that to people and people will buy it. As simple as just making a PDF with tips that you've learned. There's courses on programming, cooking, chess playing. I mean, anything you can think of. Anything that you know more about than the average person could be turned into a digital product. You could do a video course. I mean, there's so many tools. This is so much easier than it was even five or 10 years ago. We have Skillshare, Udemy, tons of products to help you get this started. The key really is just try to add value to people, teach something that people are willing to pay for. And again, if you're camera shy, you can do PDFs. You can do Amazon, Kindle books, things like that. And what I love about digital products is how scalable they are. You create them once and then you can sell them over and over and over again. I have some training courses that I made 10 years ago that are still bringing in sales here and there. Another summer side hustle, I really want you to consider, don't just dismiss this too quickly, but if you're a problem solver, a good thinker, maybe consider becoming a programmer. You don't have to necessarily be a programmer who's building dApps for different crypto projects. You know, maybe you just make a Discord bot that you can sell to people. You know, a Discord bot is probably not gonna make you a billion dollars, but if you can start bringing in, you know, $100 a month, $200 a month from different bots or little scripts that you write or things like that, you can make quite a bit from that. I have a friend who's a teacher. He taught himself to code and then actually he built a word search generator. You guys remember word searches from when we were kids? He built a word search generator and now it's grown to over $50,000 a month with just some simple, it was not very hard to code. And with ChatGPT, it makes it even easier. But really, it's as simple as just identifying a problem and then trying to solve it. Even simple everyday problems that you run into can be a goldmine. I mean, maybe an app that organizes your shopping list. With AI, you know, you can integrate AI into everything. I mean, there's so many possibilities. What I used to do and what I recommend just to get your entrepreneurial spirit going is every day, for years I did this, every day I would write down 10 problems that I had in my life or that I saw in the world and then I would try to come up with a way to solve that. A lot of times it was software. So let's crunch some numbers. Let's say you spend 10 hours a week on your side hustles. That's just an hour and a half a day. So that's not too much. That's something that we probably all could do. Cut out some Netflix or something like that. But with the right side hustle, that could easily turn into $500 a week, which would be, you know, $2,000 a month. And the best part is some of these can even turn into passive income that just keep paying you out for a long time. And all these side hustles have no money investment, but let me mention a couple other side hustles that might require a little investment, but I think it's worth it, 30 seconds. And I've talked about all these on my channel, so I'll leave links for you to dig in deeper if you really are interested. But you can buy property liens. Property liens is when you purchase a claim against a property. So when they go to sell that property, they see that you are the one holding the lien, then they have to pay it off, and there's a chance to make money there. Also, if you have some cash, this one's obvious. You watch any video on my channel, but you can invest in crypto projects. There is passive income to be made if you have a little bit of capital up front in some of these different crypto plays. And finally, the one that I'm really excited about right now is the Done For You Amazon reviews. So you pay up front, and then Kyle and his team, they start uploading video reviews of different products onto Amazon. And then anytime someone watches one of these videos and buys, you make some money. So personally, I've been making 1,200 bucks a month for the last three months doing this.
