The gift of Life: Haverstraw kidney transplant recipient celebrated with parade

The community of Haverstraw celebrated a successful kidney transplant for beloved teacher Nicole Follari. After battling kidney sclerosis for six years, Follari received a life-saving organ from Antonio Mateus, a neighbor and parent of one of her students. A local parade was held to honor their journey and encourage others to consider organ donation.
