Welcome back to the channel. Over the next 24 hours I'm accessing a secluded cove on the South
Devon coast. The only way down here was scaling down a cliff which was a little sketchy and this
will be my home for the night. I'm going after bass with a spear gun, finding cool creatures
and foraging seaweeds to make flatbreads from scratch and everything is being cooked on the
hot tent stove so let's get straight into it. Now normally I would put the roll mat on top of this
if it was wet obviously but given that I'm in very uneven ground here and also
some of these rocks are quite sharp, I did my best to level it but
I'm going to put this underneath and then it's going to act as a bit of a bit of a layer.
Okay we're suited and booted. A bit of advice if you're putting on a seven mil wetsuit which this
is the top half, bring wetsuit lube with you and don't try and do it without because that
was an absolute struggle. It's going to be even worse getting off but we're kitted up,
we're set up, tent is good, the stove is set up, all we've got to do now is go out and catch some
food and I'm hoping either for a lobster or a bass so fingers crossed we're going to get out there
and hopefully catch some food so I'll see you in the water.
Wow
Just in time. Right good morning everyone, bit of it, nearly slipped up as well. I've had better
sleeps but nonetheless it was still really nice to be out on the beach like that last night cooking
up what I'd caught and just being off screens, not being around technology and just really
switching off of everything which was really really nice. I'm going to pick up which has
some of my catch in from yesterday.
Okay we've done it, that is the 24 hours camp out complete. Getting up and down those cliffs was
difficult, it's eroded a lot over the years and I remember coming here well over 15 years ago and
it's changed a lot since then. The bass made me work for it and I really had to sneak up on that
second fish. The food was great and I'll definitely be back here again. I'll see you all next time.
