I love this song.
Pretty.
She can make me cry.
Help me if you can, I'm feeling stout.
And I do appreciate you being around.
Okay, alright.
Help me get my feet back on the ground.
Won't you please, please
Help me if you can, I appreciate you being around.
Get my feet back, please, please.
Help me.
Come on, come on.
My name's Amy.
Welcome.
Amy, what a beautiful voice.
Thank you.
So beautiful.
And I love the song.
And I love the rendition.
And I just thought it was magical.
For me, it felt like you actually connected with the lyrics of the song.
Thank you.
And I would love for you to be on my team.
Thank you.
I mean, firstly, I am a sucker for that song.
I just was singing along with you.
But clearly there's a story.
Please tell me your story.
There is, all my life I've struggled with a sore leg.
Pain, passing out, all sorts of trouble.
Six years ago, I was told that my heart was at risk of massive heart failure.
So I had two choices, which was to keep my leg and die,
or lose my leg and have a life.
So it's been hard.
But I don't think I've actually had a life until this moment.
It doesn't define us.
It's a part of us.
And right now, this moment is about your voice.
We turned around.
You absolutely nailed that.
Nailed it.
Absolutely nailed that song.
Nailed it.
And the beautiful thing about the voice is that we get to know
what drives you in your heart when you sing.
And whilst this is a part of your story,
there will be so many more stories in your life to tell.
And I would love to be able to be on that journey with you here at Team Delta.
I just want to say, yeah, it was a beautiful, beautiful performance.
And I wanted to turn, but I've got someone like you.
And I think you need to be able to shine.
Do you know what I mean?
That's okay, as long as I can get a hug from you before I go.
Oh, all night long, babe.
I'm kind of gutted that I don't have you with me.
You know what, you're in the competition.
It's such good news.
Thank you.
I'm so excited to see what you're going to do.
Who are you going to choose?
A bit of Delta or a bit of Joe?
You're all incredible.
Like, I've admired you all for so long.
But I'm sorry.
I think I'm going to have to go with Delta.
Not at all.
I look forward to having you sing.
Thank you so much for sharing your story with everybody.
I know that takes a lot of courage.
And I was really afraid.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
And amazing.
Start again now.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
It was so beautiful.
Thank you.
It was incredible.
I mean, music has been the one thing that's kept me going, you know.
And to be able to get up and do that
and have people hear me sing and not what I look like is just...
Not at all.
And that's what's so special about the show.
It's like none of us can see behind us.
And I feel like we're just going to have some fun.
All right, my love.
Thank you so much.
Hello, family.
Hello.
I'm going to leave you here and run.
See you real soon.
I cannot describe how good I'm feeling at the moment.
I can sing.
I can do this.
And now I get to share it with everybody.
It was beautiful to meet another woman
who has gone through extreme adversity
and being able to come out on top
and have an experience where now another story in her life begins.
Yes.
Push the button.
Go, Bjorn.
My name's Dylan Makichi.
I'm from Melbourne.
Incredible.
Well, you had everybody singing along and clapping along.
I loved it.
Tell me about yourself.
I suffer from a disability called muscular dystrophy.
It makes my muscles a bit weaker than most people.
What made you go, I want to come and do the voice today?
I just want to show people that anyone with a disability can do anything.
You should feel good. There was so much about it that I liked.
I was like, this is really good. You've got a great voice.
And I think you can really sing.
But you could have kind of had a little bit more control.
Be proud of what you did on this performance. It was really good.
It just didn't quite hit the mark for us to turn.
But that doesn't mean it won't next time.
You've got such a nice voice.
And please know that this is by no means a failure for you.
That was so beautiful and such a treat to listen to.
I feel like with a song like I Want You Back,
he deserves four people to get up here.
I'm a terrible dancer.
We're going to do a whole Jackson 5 situation.
We're going to go right, left, right, left.
Oh baby, give me one more chance.
Show you that I love you.
Won't you please let me back in your heart?
Oh baby, I would die to let you go.
But now since I see you,
baby, I want you back.
Yes, I do now.
I want you back.
Oh, oh, baby.
I want you back.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I want you back.
Nailed it.
Is this a dream come true?
It definitely is.
Definitely.
He's going to be talking about this for the rest of his life.
Thank you so much.
I know that's not easy getting up on this stage with all those people.
I know you are so brave.
All right, Dylan, you legend.
Wave to your adoring crowd.
Give him a hand, everybody.
I just thought the whole thing was so brave and magical and inspiring and,
you know, you can't help but be moved.
You want to come back, Dylan?
Yeah.
You're going to do it again?
Yes.
You're going to keep singing?
Yeah.
Are you ever going to wash that cheek that dealt against you?
I don't know.
Well, congratulations.
You were amazing today.
Hello.
How are you today?
I'm good, thank you.
Yeah, mate, you're looking great.
Thank you.
My name is Dylan Maguccio.
I'm 15 and I'm from Melbourne.
I got a karaoke machine when I was about nine years old.
I was so excited.
I started singing on it nonstop.
And I said, well, I can sing a little bit.
I love to sing because when I'm stressed and a bit upset,
I love to just hop in my room and just sing my lungs out.
I suffer from Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
It's a muscle disorder that makes your muscles weaker than usual.
I was diagnosed when I was two years old,
and it was quite heartbreaking to my parents.
When you find out your child has a disorder that Dylan has,
it's gut-wrenching.
Your life just falls apart.
He knows his capabilities,
but he makes the most of what he can do.
Wherever he goes, whoever he meets,
he just finds a way to love life.
And he's truly amazing.
I can't walk at all,
but I can still do a lot of everyday activities
like everyone else does.
I love The Voice because it's for everybody's voice.
No matter how hard I try
You keep pushing me aside
And I can't break through
There's no talking to you
It's so sad that you're leaving
It takes time to believe it
But after all you've said and done
You're gonna be the lonely one
Do you believe in life after love?
You feel something inside me say
I really don't think you're strong enough, no
I don't need you anymore
Need you anymore
I'm Connor Wink, I'm 22 years old
and I'm from Newcastle, Australia.
Yes!
That was absolutely superb.
Oh, thank you.
Thank you for that performance.
Tell us a bit about yourself, Connor.
I was born with some vision,
but I lost my sight when I was five months old.
So I'm basically totally blind now.
And that's why I wear glasses too,
because it's my trademark.
Yeah.
So, Connor, can I tell you something?
You have four chair turns.
Oh, wow.
I think that you have a very strong voice
and it's also very soothing, you know, at the same time.
You're definitely a mood singer
in the sense of, like, you know exactly what mood needs to be where
for what specific record.
And that's a skill.
That is a really great skill to have.
Thank you.
And we have a common love for Cher,
because I love Cher.
Oh, wow.
I would love to have you on my team.
I've actually met Cher twice.
Have you?
Yeah.
I'm so jealous.
My mum and I, we were sending letters to her
saying that I'm a huge fan of yours
and love your music and I really want to meet you
because it's an ultimate dream of mine, basically.
And the first time I saw her live,
she actually dedicated that song to me.
Wow.
Even though I missed it because I was backstage
waiting for her to meet me.
Oh, no.
Oh, well.
Hey, Connor.
It's Keith here.
Hello.
It's a beautiful song, that Believe.
It really is, lyrically, melodically.
And I love when somebody takes a song and presents it
in a way that brings attention to the lyric
that I've never really noticed before.
It worked perfectly being slowed down
and played on the guitar like that today.
Really, really good.
I would love to have you on my team.
Great job, man.
Oh, thank you.
Hey, Connor.
Hey, Guy.
I did turn first out of all these coaches.
The thing I loved about it is you just made me feel really calm
and I was just so drawn to your voice, to your tone.
So I just thank you for your gift first of all.
Thank you.
I would love to work with you.
I think you're fantastic.
Thank you.
Well, Connor, it's absolutely amazing that you made it today.
I feel very honoured to be able to connect to you
with that performance.
I think, yeah, there's something real special about you
and I would be honoured to have you on Team Jess.
Thank you.
Well, you've all had really cool things to say.
Thank you all so much for your comments.
But the person I'm going to go for is Guy.
Hey!
Thank you very much, Connor.
You're welcome.
What a great decision.
Thank you.
I mean, not only talented but extremely smart.
Thank you.
We'll help you down.
We'll take you to your parents.
Are they scared to come in or something?
Wait a minute.
Amazing.
Hello.
Hi.
I was a bit confused, if I'm being honest,
because I thought maybe you were scared to come in
or there was an intro.
I can't see what's happening.
All I could see was every single person in the audience going,
turn around, turn around, turn around.
Yeah, that was what was happening.
Thank you.
I didn't turn around until the end.
What did I miss visually?
You were signing.
Yeah, that was all Australian Sign Language, Auslan.
5% of the world's population don't have access
to the average hearing range.
That is like 466 million people
that haven't heard your favourite songs.
Wow.
Like, when you share a song with someone
and you both know the words,
there are so many people that don't have that feeling
and they're just watching going, I don't understand.
But if you can open a doorway to that magic
and share it in some way...
I mean, I started learning sign language...
I started learning sign language when I was quite young
because I've always loved with all my heart
wanting to communicate with everyone
and making sure everybody could be heard
and we could speak to each other.
This is representing a part of community
that we haven't represented, which is so exciting.
I really want to do a performance together
and learn with you.
I really, really want to learn with you.
I want to be your coach in this moment.
There's so much about what you're saying I understand.
I grew up very different as a kid
in a time when people were very less tolerant.
So I called my band Culture Club
because I embraced everybody
because when I was growing up,
I really felt like I didn't belong
until I discovered David Bowie and music
and realised that that was the person I was meant...
You know, that's the kind of person I was meant to be
and I've spent my life
dedicating myself to being that individual.
So I do understand on that level completely.
I would love to have you on my team.
In fact, it might be nice to learn some stuff from you.
The funny thing is,
is I remember growing up my mother signed
so I would be honoured, honoured to work with you
and it's actually deeper than just us working together.
This is very spiritual.
I love what you've done and I love your passion
and that's artistry
but you also have a great voice.
Honestly, you've got a gift, right?
That's undeniable.
The minute you started singing...
Because what happens is people get on the stage
and they start singing
and the audience are going,
oh, please be good, please be good
and then they hear something special
and it's almost a relief
but then you took it from relief
to something that's actually belief.
Thank you.
Well, you have a four chair turn.
It's your turn to make a decision.
Okay.
Okay, okay, okay.
Hold on one second.
As much as it would be nice to work with all of you
and to find body language for any song that we pick together,
I feel like there is something transcendent
in the magic of George.
Yes.
And the work on my sign, obviously.
No, you can teach me.
He is about the most whimsical human being.
How cute.
Thank you, thank you.
My mother signed.
Every time I see someone sign,
it's almost like I feel like she's around.
Mostly it's not a good idea to react to what the audience do
because that can be very misleading
but I'm glad I turned
and now I have a bit more of an understanding
of what Andy is trying to do.
It sits really comfortably with me.
I really look forward to George creating a moment with him
to where those 466 million people feel seen and heard.
Stay-at-home dad Cam Tap is here at The Voice
to fulfil a promise after a near-fatal car accident.
I said to myself, if I get through this OK,
I will always follow my dreams.
Come on, mate.
He looks calm.
I can't stand the flight
I know that night
You start to find
A better part of me
A pretty face beside a train
It's not easy to be me
One down, two down.
I'll sleep soundly
I can't stand the flight
He's actually, he's considering it, isn't he?
In a cigarette sheet
Looking for kryptonite
Now it's one week
We don't need a man
In a cigarette sheet
Looking for special things
Inside of me
Hey, what's your name, brother?
My name's Cam.
Cam, good job tonight, Cam.
Thanks, mate.
Were you nervous?
A little bit, yeah.
I just gathered from the end when you went,
thank God it's over!
Yeah, I was a little bit nervous.
You can't not be nervous, you know.
Yeah, good job tonight, Cam.
Thank you, I appreciate that.
The second you started singing,
your tone was just beautiful,
and I think that was the perfect song for you to pick.
I was a bit on the fence with your higher register.
I feel like maybe that was the nerves.
I felt like the support kind of went a little bit
on the higher moments,
but you did a fantastic job,
and I really enjoyed it.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Congratulations.
The only reason I didn't push my button
was it didn't really connect with me,
but, man, you're a great singer, obviously.
Congratulations, man.
I felt that I jumped the gun.
You know, you said something at the end of your performance
that kind of turned me off.
You said, thank God it's over, right?
But that's just my personality.
I'm kind of a bit of a joke around bloke,
so I was just joking around.
That personality is not the personality of a star.
You can never, ever, ever do that.
That's a fair point.
You're because everyone here wants to be where you are.
The good part is that you are going to be on a team
and you get to choose,
so it is up to you, man.
It's true.
It's your choice.
I'm going with Keith.
Yes!
Good on you, mate.
No hard feelings.
Good job tonight.
Good point.
You're just the right song.
Daddy Cam in the house.
Congratulations.
He was meant to go with you the second that we turned around.
I was like, he should go with Keith.
I feel good about that.
I think you're on the right team.
Thank you.
I look forward to seeing you in the next round.
There's an Aussie way, you know,
of taking the piss out of yourself,
and that's not the English way.
It's just not.
But Seal's intentions are completely to help the artist,
and he has to.
He's not going to change for anyone.
He's going to be Seal.
Look, I don't totally disagree with what Seal was saying,
but I think us as coaches also have to see somebody
that has that ability to grow beyond what we see here tonight,
and I think Cam totally has.
