Making flower band soap
🍀 Hello everyone!
Today I'd like to share a Cold Process (CP) soap project that's both fun and relaxing to make.
This time, I wanted to create something with a softer, more artistic feel, so I made a floral ribbon soap design. It's so enjoyable to experiment with different color combinations, and each one has its own unique charm.
Ingredients:
Olive oil
Coconut oil
Palm oil
Caustic soda
Purified water
Lavender essential oil
Colorants:
Green stem powder
White Titanium Dioxide
Yellow Oxide
Ultramarine Pink
Other oxide pigments
Paper straws
▶️ For a 500g soap mold:
Green soap batter: 160g
White soap batter: 360–400g
Divide the white soap batter into two portions according to your preferred design.
▶️ About the paper straws:
I used paper straws with a 1 cm diameter, but they seem a little too large.
Using slightly smaller straws would create a more natural-looking flower pattern.
▶️ About the pink color:
The pink soap batter turned out a bit too concentrated, making it look more purple than pink.
If you reduce the amount of pink pigment slightly, you'll get a much softer and prettier light pink shade. I hope this tip helps! ^^
🍀 Once again, I've captured the lovely charm of handmade soap in a delicate floral ribbon design. Thank you so much for watching and supporting my work!
