Avalanche Lake in Glacier National Park 4K

The Going-To-The-Sun Road was just opened to the Avalanche Creek campground which is where this hike starts. The Avalanche Lake trail is one of the most popular hikes in Glacier National Park for several reasons. 1) Ease of access to the trailhead just off the Going-To-The Sun Road. 2) Amazing views at the lake with a cirque of towering peaks and waterfalls. 3) One of the shorter and easier hikes in the park. On this day we set out early and had the lake to ourselves for breakfast.
