Hidden beneath massive limestone blocks were enormous burial pits containing a dismantled wooden vessel unlike anything researchers had ever seen.
The discovery was extraordinary.
More than 1,200 individual cedar wood pieces had been carefully arranged inside a sealed pit.
After over 4,500 years, the wood remained remarkably well preserved.
