PASSO DI GAVIA BMW S 1000 XR Downhill // Gavia Pass BMW Test Ride // // Uncut Onboard
Most riders prefer to ride uphill - I do too but this descent from the Passo di Gavia (Gavia Pass) was pure joy. The epic scenery that I had last experience in the rain was a pleasure to ride in dry conditions. Also, the BMW S 1000 XR is an absolute pleasure to ride downhill - the fantastic brakes and the lighter weight (even though it is just 10 kg - it feels like much more) combined with the easy handling make riding downhill a breathe. If you are intrested in what I thought about the BMW S 1000 XR as compared to my KTM 1290 Super Adventure S check the review section on my channel where I summarized my impressions into a video. The Gavia Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.621m (8,599ft) above the sea level, located in the Lombardy region, Italy. It's one of the highest mountain roads of Italy.
