Trump says US to lift Turkey sanctions and sell F-35 fighter jets to Ankara

US President Donald Trump has told his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan that Washington will lift sanctions and consider selling F-35 fighter jets, one of the world's most sophisticated military aircraft, to NATO ally Turkey. This despite objections by Israel, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu saying the move would 'destroy the power balance in the Middle East.'
